This buoy has drifted away from its proper location. It is now half submerged and is in the Holiday Shores area off Ashley Lane. Reported to the Alabama Marine Police office with no response as of yet. The buoy itself is now a hazard and will continue to get worse as the water rises. Thanks for any and all help in returning this hazard buoy to the proper location.

You need to contact the Lake Martin Resource Association.

Thanks, I'll contact them. Interesting that the Marine Police have not found time to return my call. Hope no one gets injured because of it.

funding for the marine police had been cut dramatically based on my understanding. Understaffed.

It's likely the Marina Police forwarded the infomation to the LMRA, but you should verify. The LMRA bouy patrol is performed by volunteers and usually keep a backlog of work. How long has this buoy been an issue? When was it reported?

I continued to seek help with this issue an was able to speak with someone who seems concerned and willing to help. It was not the Marine     Police. Who knows if the MP forwarded the info they never returned my call. I feel as though the issue will be resolved thanks to the volunteers here on Lake Martin. Hope everyone has a safe Summer.
