Anyone know where to look to find information concerning the next "Throw Away Day" for Tallapoosa county?  I thoroughly and unsuccessfully searched the Tallapoosa county website. I even completed the online request for stated information under "contact us" twice about this and have had no response.

I called the County Commission office last week, was referred to County Engineer’s office, 256-825-1062. Was told the next “throw

away “dates are not yet set, but likely will be late September-early October. It’s frustrating that they can’t plan, schedule and publish for the whole year but I was told that they can’t determine that far in advance if the resources they need (dumpsters, etc) will be available.

It appears to me that our county commission needs to tighten up some.

Contact your elected commissioner and voice your concerns,  Griping on here doesn't do anyone good!  My opinion only

I often wonder how many people on this forum knows who their county commissioner is and how to get in touch with them. If you really have a problem, find out who your commissioner is and call them often. I've been known to go visit with my commissioner. You get more and better answers when you're face to face with them. Oh yeah, take someone with you so they can back you up when the commissioner says "I never said that". Good luck......
