The boss and I went to dinner at La Posada in dadeville Friday. There was a hand printed sign on the door stating they would be "temporarily closed" starting July 12th. We figured a remodel or equipment upgrade or some such but when we asked why we were told they didn't know why. The 3rd person we asked stated they just got a phone call out of the blue and we're told to put the sign up.

Considering the timing one really has to wonder.

That's interesting, especially in light of the timing.  Since the only people being picked up have already been served deportation notices.

We go there often and a few weeks ago there was a sign on the door addressing rumors of their closing stating it was not true. Service was also off a bit this last visit. My tea glass ran empty twice. Usually every time you take a drink someone is there to refill it. I am curious about the AC location and if they are closed too.

I just called the AC location to see if they are open and they are. I asked about dadeville and he said it was closed. I asked if it was closed forever and he said yes. English is obviously his second language so maybe he didn't understand the question. Time will tell.

If those guys can't make it in Dadeville nobody ever will. Sad. The crowds there have been consistent since opening. One of the things that make me go hmm.

AC location is our go to place to eat in alexander city.  

Because it is good but also because another decent place does not exist

I thought the Dadeville location was their nicer location.  Surprising it would close for good with no warning especially in the summer season.

I have no hard data to support this opinion (but when has that ever stopped anyone on this forum from mouthing off) but i firmly believe that mexican and chinese resyaurants are a major avenue for illegal aliens to be funnelled into our communities. Can i prove it? No. But open your eyes when you go into those restaurants. Sneak a peak back into the kitchens. Notice the attitudes of the people working in the back. Very often furtive and wary, afraid to catch your eye. That is, of course if you are not distracted by the unwashed hands, raw meat on prep tables, unsanitized prep surfaces, and occasional tufts of cat hair in the chinese kitchens.

  Have you ever noticed that very seldom do the ring up your ticket.  most just hit the button to open the drawer. They all have a calculator, they add your ticket up with. Made me go Hmmm for years.  Chineese never ring the bill up,just hit the open drawer button and take your cash.
