"A Republican congressman from Pennsylvania who settled a former aide's sexual harassment complaint with taxpayer money told Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday that he will not seek re-election, according to a spokesman for Ryan."

He's not my congressman. Just another story about sin and the weakness of men. This is as old as the oldest profession. Glad he chose to retire. Anything relevant or interesting on your mind? Glad I don't post all the dem scandals.....I'd have to give up my day job.

because GFY is fake news.
Rep. Patrick Meehan told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday that he was still running for re-election, despite news that he reached a settlement with an aide who accused him of sexual harassment.

You must have missed the truth as you are so silent. So, I thought I would post it for your benefit.
“‘After consultation with my wife Carolyn and with my three sons, and after prayerful reflection, I write to inform you that I will not seek re-election to the United States Congress for the 7th Congressional District in 2018,’ the Delaware County Republican wrote Thursday in a letter to his campaign chairman. …
The Inquirer and Daily News obtained a copy of the letter Thursday night.
Time to pray....He should have prayed before he harrassed and paid off the aide. I love how the creeps seem to seek devine guidance after the fact.

Not everyone who is accused of sexual harassment has actually done it. And sometimes it is easier to pay someone off, than have your reputation and career slung across the front page of the Washington Post. I have no idea if this man did it or not, but it won't be a surprise if he chooses not to run for reelection. Thanks to the media, anyone who may or may not have a skelaton in their closet, is not going to want their reputation sullied, particularly in the current atmosphere.
The sad part of all these sexual harassment suites is that companies will be reluctant to hire women - so all those ladies out there with their hats and banners and speeches may be hurting women more than they are helping. I worked in a male environment most of my career, and things get said and jokes get made, and there is really noting to it.
