Wonderful isn't it the taxpayers send the premiums amounting to several hundred dollars a month to the insurance company and with deductibles so high it is unlikely the insurance company has to pay out any benefits. Yet they claim they aren't making any money. They in essence wrote the law and now whine they can't make any money. One has to wonder where is the money going? Much of it of course is being spent to pay for the chronically ill and those who only signed up after they got sick. Imagine calling an insurance company and telling them you totalled your car yesterday and would like to insure it now.
I have a friend who is self employed and makes too much to qualify for subsidies. His premiums are over $600/mo with an $8000 deductible. He wanted to vote Democrat this election but the Russian hackers convinced him to vote Republican. But if he had known about the Golden showers he says he might have voted differently, or at least a few less times and only in one state. Dang those rusky hackers. I'm afraid next they will have us nuking ourselves, once they sell us back the uranium.

Nope the Uranium that Obama sold to russia went to Iran ( 130 tons of Uranium )
https://www.rt.com/news/373146-iran-russia-uranium-shipment/
The uranium received by Tehran can be theoretically enriched to levels ranging from reactor fuel to the core of an atomic bomb. However, the Iranian authorities insist that the country is only interested in peaceful nuclear energy and is not looking to create a weapon.

I've talked to a number of self employed people despaired over Obamacare and its ridiculous deductibles. One person said to me that they could never afford the deductible. It's certainly not what I had hoped for Obama to come up with. I always hoped that he would put forth a workable program that, yes, might need some tweaking, but would be a solid foundation. Sadly, that was never that case and even the roll out was a foreshadowing of just what was ahead. Just another promise of hope and change that went unrealized.

While your question is for Hound, I will just tag on with a couple of comments. I met an employee yesterday that works fof a small Medical Supply Company who is in his late 30's, pays his own insurance, has a wife and two children, and he pays $1500.00 a month with a $5,000.00 deductible. He said that he never thought he would pay more a month for his family's insurance than he pays monthly for his mortgage. $18000.00 a year for insurance is unbelievable. Since you don't seem to have a problem with the high cost of insurance, I assume you are still employed with a company that provides great coverage or you are wealthy enough that high insurance premiums are not a major concern for you. In reference to your question for Hound, I believe that better days are ahead, and nothing could be worse than Obama Care which was forced into being with "lies, lies, lies, and more lies".

I worked in Washingon too long to be sure that what it is replaced with will be better. Politiicians of all stripes tend to go for the expedient, not the wise. I hope they have given a lot of thought about what replaces it. People need something that works.

It seems the last few occasions i have made comments to some of your posts that I have not received any feedback from you. Maybe you think the same about about some of my posts to you. I realize it is our prerogitive whether we respond or not, and if we have reached that point I will try to avoid further comments relative to your posts. This is not intended to ruffle feathers, but just trying to clear the air.
