I know she is billed as the smartest woman in the world and I have long had my doubts but no longer. She has officially joined the ranks of stupid left wing nut hall of shame with her comments on crime and incarceration. To wit, she bloviated about how in a time of record low crime America has record high incarceration. Well duh!!!! You put criminals in prison and crime will surely go down. Works every time its tried. You see Hillary, and I am typing reeeaaaalll slow so you can understand this, a criminal in prison isn't on the street committing crimes. That's one of the added benefits of prison in addition to them paying the price for their actions. Now granted it is arguable whether stiff sentences prevent crime but it is not arguable that someone who is playing the part of Bubba's girlfriend in prison isn't out robbing a 7-11 or raping your little sister. Criminals in prison = lower crime rates. Common sense....something totally missing from the liberal mind.
Folks, this is the best that the modern Democrat party can give us?!?!? And yes, I understand that she probably didn't write that piece of abject stupidity but she surely read it before hand, approved it and then stated it in public. Tis always better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. So not only is she corrupt and incompetent but also a fool.......of course making her the perfect candidate for the left. And as Jonah Goldberg put it so well, she is too stupid to be a spell checker at an M&M factory......LOL!

Have you read any of the Statements by the Republican contenders? We are not dealing with Mensa members on either side. It's going to be a long election cycle. Sometimes I find myself agreeing with Rand Paul and sometimes I agree with Bernie Sanders.
Understand I am not defending Hillary, whom I do not like; but if stupid is as stupid does... we're in trouble no matter who is elected.

From the leading GOP candidates. No doubt they may say things that I object to, especially on immigration, but nothing this vacuous (admittedly I may have missed it). The point is she is obviously pandering to black voters but she could do so without saying something so stupid. I really think the fact that she is the presumptive nominee for the Democrats says pretty much all we need to know about the party. And who do we have lining up to oppose her? Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley. a socialist and a nobody.
I am like you though in that I wish we could take the best of all the GOP candidates and leave behind the worst of them although I suspect we might not have the same list. But that is not how this will work.

I'll give you one. Rand Paul says he is looking into the conspiracy by the military to invade Texas.

That falls into the category of paranoid but not stupid. If he said the military exercises in Texas would cause the state to tip over and fall into the ocean due to the weight that would be stupid. If he said that it's a shame that we have so many in prison while we have record low crime, that would be stupid.

Yes, it is stupid.
BTW, where did you get the idea that Hillary is the "smartest woman in the world"?
Go easy, MM. It's going to be a long election cycle. I'm sure you haven't heard the stupidest thing yet.

Believe me I don't consider her the smartest woman in the world, in fact quite the contrary. It comes from an old Hillary joke I heard.
Hillary is on a flight with an old Priest and a young student. The engine goes and the pilot comes out and tells them that they have four on the plane and only three parachutes. The pilot takes one and says "I need to survive so I can tell what happened", opens the door and jumps out. Hillary jumps up and says, "I'm the smartest woman in America and I need to survive", grabs the second parachute and jumps out of the plane. The priest turns to the young man and says" Son, I've lived a good long life and you have your whole future ahead of you so go ahead and take the last parachute". The young man replies, "Relax Padre, the smartest woman in the world just jumped out with my backpack".
Its really a crack about the elitist attitude of the Ivy League educated class that seems to screw up pretty much anything they touch. And yes, it is going to be a long, exhausting election cycle.

"Its really a crack about the elitist attitude of the Ivy League educated class that seems to screw up pretty much anything they touch." Have to agree...the Right say Hillary and the left says Bush and Cruz. Nothing changes from Right to Left. Cruz reminds me of Goldwater with his conspiracy theories. May attract the conspiracy minded Right...but not conducive to winning the Presidency.
Cruz was really pandering when he held a fund raiser last week in New York with gay Republicans.

Hmmm. I assume you are putting GWB in the "Ivy League educated" who screw up everything they touch? He went to Yale.
I actually think it is more about the individual then where they went to school. Hillary wants to be the first woman President - she is hellbent on it. She feels she is "entitled" to it. That sense of entitlement is always a bad thing. It's the same thing that afflicts Michelle Obama. It wouldn't surprise me to see her run for office a la Hillary, with the idea that she too, one day would be President.

Just a while back I suggested basically the same premise and you were very quick to point out how ridiculous that whole idea was. I made the statement regarding her and Chelsea both seeking office with aspirations of the presidency and according to you it was a crazy idea. I have read several articles since then espousing the same sentiments. Of course it has real credibility now that you have decided it may be so.

I think every male who has run for the Presidency thought the same way that Hillary does. Every Right winger running for the nomination thinks they are entitled to the nomination. If you think otherwise, you shouldn't be running.
