We could not come down to the lake last week. I asked my great neighbor to pick any tomatoes that were ripe, and she sent me a picture of the harvest. That is from 4 plants. Maybe 2 more weeks of good yield??

LNG, better go over there again tonite with the glue and attach them again, cause we be coming down to pick tomorrow.
Those were regular BetterBoy tomato plants from Lowe's, I think. Good dirt and a healthy dose of Manure, lots of rain in June. First batch had Blossom Rot, but the rest have been very good,,,, acidic/sweet/firm and plentiful.

Raccoons got the corn at lake. The picture was what I gathered at farm garden. I figured the animals would have gotten it too, but I beat them to some of it. Microwave in the cob, butter, and enjoy.

Did you ever see the video of a guy nuking corn in the husk to remove the silks?? He left the husk on, cut off each end, nuked each ear for 4 minutes (seems a lot). Then he shook the corn, it slid out of the whole husk without any silks?? You got enough to experiment on one ear, give it a test.

Try three minutes. It works and no silks to deal with.
|
We put two ears at a time for 6 minutes and they come out perfect. TRY it, you might like it.

We just ate some cooked this way
Put two ears (shucks and all) in microwave, nuke two minutes
Turn them over and nuke two minutes
Cut about 1/4 inch off the big end
Hold other end and shake the ear, you might have to grab and pull a bit (careful it is hot)
Most of the time the silks stay with shucks,
Butter and eat
