who oppose the violent and deadly invasion of the capitol and a years worth of lies by Dear leader represent 63% of the population.  Throw in McConnell, Portman, Ernst, Blunt and a handful of others who simply didn't have the guts to vote their convictions, and it is easy which way the wind is blowing.   The GOP is fast becoming the GQP reduced to about 15% of the Americans who are freaking nutcases and another 15% of old farts who are unwilling to wake up and smell the coffee but are already in the autumn of their journey.  The modern Republican party is withering away like the Whigs!  To think I used to often vote for the Republican candidates in GA because they were the "liberal" alternative.

Lets get on with enacting President Biden's programs to overcome all those holdover negative residuals you so aptly described from the Trump fiasco!

You must be referring to Biden's effective elimination of Title IX protection in women's sports, tax funding overseas abortions, job killing elimination of the Keystone Pipeline to appease his left's advocacy for a cost prohibitive climate agenda, beholding to teacher's unions who watch as our children fall farther and farther behind China's children where education is concerned, ignoring of increasing crime rates in the inner cities, (promise the AA's the moon to get their vote, then ignore them until they need them next), rising gasoline and energy prices that hit the middle and lower class the most and his being a black mark on the Catholic faith.  Happy days.  By all means Archie, put your faith in a senile, unaccomplished simpleton, those of us with convictions will look elsewhere.

Just wanted to add illegal immigration to your list. Biden has for the most part abolished ICE, opened the borders for the drug cartels, paved the way for any and everybody to add to the Covid 19 crisis, providing free health care for those that come on board, take jobs away from our own citizens, and the list goes on.

That Biden hasn't encouraged his supporters to attack the Capitol so they could hang the Vice President while the President watched TV. Even Mitch agrees.

Because impeachment is for removal from office.  Even Cocaine Mitch knows that.

have any idea what the next 4 years hold.  But, if you follow the Catholic teachings (ALL of them, not just on abortion) as you claim, then it might be possible to not put your faith in Joe Biden, but it hard to fathom how you continue to put your faith in someone so contradictory the teachings of Jesus Christ as Donald Trump.  Have you asked forgivness for your obsession and faith to such a moral midget as your ''hero'' in the privacy of the confessional?  If not perhaps you should.

Archie, why do you continue to suggest that those on this forum who support limited government, low taxes, secure borders, tax dollars staying at home and not going to Bangledesh, energy independence, smart climate decision making that involve fossis fuel manufacturers and not eliminate them, free speech, no big tech censorship, America and it's citizens first, fighting China aggression, space exploration etc, etc are "Trump worshiper, Trumpistas" or whatever name calling that your MSNBC or CNN masters state is acceptable.

I, for one, support innovative IDEAS, and POLICY, that benefit me, my family, and fellow Americans around me.  That is what Trump represented, and your insinuation that we essentially overlook the above in favor of a person is getting old.  Get another schtick, will you.

Because worship of a person (you declared him your ''hero'') is what you have been spouting for the last 4 years!!  So are you now claiming ''I agree with Senators McConnel and Capito about the disgraceful conduct and complicity of Donald Trump and reject Trump as an immoral, biggoted and despicable excuse for a human being rather than the hero I have claimed, but I do generally strongly support his policies.''?  That would be a BIG step into the guiding light of reason and out of the dark place of blind cultism where you and most of this forum has dwelled for a long time.

Agreewith Mitch about what?  That the proceedings were unconstitutional?  Yes.

responsible'' for the attack on the capitol and that it happened ''because they'd been fed falsehoods by the most powerful man in the world.'' and that ''this was an intensifying crescendo of conspiracy theories orchestrated by an outgoing president determined to either overturn the voters' decision or else torch our institutions on his way out''?  Do you agree with any of that Mr H...any of it?  You have been posting for 4 years about how you think for yourself and complaining that I make the wrong assumptions as to how you felt about Trump.  Over and over you assured that you approved of the man's policies but not so much the man himself.  You even implied the same in your post above...''we care about what not who.''  Have you changed your mind Mr H and now throw in with CRD and MM in their Trump ''hero'' worship?  I hope not, I really do.  I still have hope that you are better than that and still ''think for myself'' and still have some degree of concern with the character of Donald J Trump.

Yeah I know...same old song from me, sorry, but I have heard the same old operatta with you solo recitative about thinking for your self and defending your claimed ''real'' attitude toward Trump for a pretty long time too.  It's become pretty obvious you are not very concerned with any of Trump's flaws after all.

Lets play the game -

Is Bernie and demonrats responsible for asshat whos shot up republicans?

Is heals up harris responsible for riots over the summer since she bailed them out and encouraged them, including some who went on to rape children and commit crimes.

but thats diffrent because of your feelings and hatred of Trrrrummpppppp!!!

Fuel costs are up, because of Mr Pen in the white house.

Insulin costs are up because of Mr Pen

Discussions of inflation and hyperinflation are starting

You just can not admit that anything falls at the feel of your hero(s) and you worship at the temple of demonrats.

In your mind those were good things, and appropriate.  You worship the party, while bashing everyones faith while attempting to use faith as a tool of evil.

I have not read the transcript of McConnell's speech so I wiil go out on a limb and trust you're quoted text are verbatim from that speech.  If that is not the case, shame on you.

1.  Was Trump "practically and morally responsible'' for the attack on the capitol?  In my opinion, not for the type and severity of attack that took place.  I have neither heard nor read anything from Trump that would indicate he suggested or supported an outright violent attack.  His words were no more inflammatory than those of countless other politicians.  On the other hand, he definitely could and should have done more to stop it once it started.

2.  '...'because they'd been fed falsehoods by the most powerful man in the world.''  Even if the "falsehoods" were that he won the election and it was stolen from him, you can't explicitly connect those words as a cause for, once again, the type of attack that took place.  In his (partial) defense, he did urge them to march on the capitol..."peacefully".

3.  ''this was an intensifying crescendo of conspiracy theories orchestrated by an outgoing president determined to either overturn the voters' decision or else torch our institutions on his way out''?  Are those really McConnell's words?  Do you reallty thuink he purposefully orchestrated conspiracy theories?  Do you really think he did any more to "torch our institutions"  than your beloved democrats have done since Trump assumed the prsidency four+ years agos?  If you do, you are a lost cause.

Now, to the bottom line.  I still think the things Trump did while President were very good for our country, and that he did far more for the "little man" than any president in recent history.  But the way he conducted himself while President was not presidential.  He wasn't able to rise above his narcissism and apparent need to always "win", and engaged in pettiness that was extremely disappointing. In a way I hoped the Senate would convict him to negate any thoughts of another run for the White House and so the GOP could develop some fresh leadership.  My fear is that his staying in "the mix" will continue to divide and give the Democrats fodder for continuing their very disturbing turn to the far left.

Now a question for you:  What do you think about the actions taken by Biden since he took the helm on January 20th?  Be honest.

I appreciate your response and wish more of the forum had the guts to say the same things.  I am very happy to learn that you have been completely sucked into the Trump orbit which really does check many of the boxes of a personality cult.  I disagree with your opinion that Trump's presidency has been ''good for the little man'' and personally feel it to have been the complete opposite...especially if you happen to be a little man or woman of color or from one of those sh#thole places.

I have been mostly satisfied with Biden firt 3 weeks with the exception of failing to come up with a truly bipartisan Covid relief package, but that was more the obstancy of the Republicans than Biden.  He is a man of the senate and actually believes that compromise is not just nice but a neccessity if we are to continue as a united people.  I am very please with his rejoining the Paris Accord ans WHO and think his undoing some of the most egregious EO's of Trump is excatly what is needed.  I think if they are given the chance by the crazies on each side, Biden and McConnell can get some things done.

"I am very happy to learn that you have been completely sucked into the Trump orbit..."  YGTBSM.  Maybe you left out a word?

And as far as the little man or woman of color, black and Hispanic unemployment was at its lowest...ever.

And your satisfaction with what Biden is doing to our country speaks volumes and none of it is good.  He is going to turn the greatest nation on earth into one of those $hitholes.  Rejoining Paris accords and WHO is at best masochistic.  Killing the Keystone XL pipeline and 11000 jobs in the interest of "the environment" doesn't stop the oil from flowing, just puts it into more polluting trucks or rail cars or forces Canada to sell it to China, where it will be used in a manner much worse for the environment.

Hope I am wrong but believe I am right.  There is no sense in continuing this string.  Bye.
