interesting situation Sessions has gotten himself in. If you watch the questioning of Sessions by the Franken idiot, you'll see Franken struggling to phrase his question in exactly the way he was coached as a means of entrapment of Sessions. Until the Administraion can flush all the dimokrap slugs down the krapper these efforts to entrap Republicans will continue. Flush, FLUSH!!

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/03/02/jeff-sessions-has-a-long-history-of-telling-democrats-to-recuse-themselves.html
Sessions portrayed recusal as standard practice when such conflicts arise, and urged her to act “in a way that’s consistent with the highest ethical standards of recusal.”
yup he recused himself as a matter of ethical standards - something dems know nothing about
In 2011, Sessions called for Justice Elena Kagan to recuse herself from case before the Supreme Court on a lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate. Kagan had defended the law as solicitor general in the Obama administration.
Kagan - nope no ethics
More recently, Sessions criticized his attorney general predecessor, Loretta Lynch for failing to recuse herself in the federal government’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email practices.
Lynch - nope no ethics
Ginsberg / Kagan on gay marriage after public comments / performing a wedding
no ethics
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/10/jeff-sessions-to-recuse-from-hillary-clinton-clint/
He also recused hiself from a Hillary Clinton probe - guess hes guily of having an email server in his closet and hiding everything to keep it away from FOIA, deleting emails that were requested by congress.. Oh wait that was your looser of a canidate who could not win a rigged election....
Maybe he can just wipe it with a cloth.. Besides what difference does it make anyway ! LOL!!!!!
God whatever you are smoking must by some really good stuff to keep you this high all the time. Pass the bong around!!!!!!!!! We should all be so delusional.

If you listen to the question that Franken asked from start to finish Sessions answered truthfully. This is a complete joke and I wish for once the GOP would show some backbone. This is the actual question and answer.
Franken: "CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week that included information that quote, ‘Russian operatives claimed to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.’ These documents also allegedly say quote, ‘There was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump's surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.’
"Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?"
Sessions: "Senator Franken, I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have — did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it."
It is very clear to me and anyone with half a brain that the question was about "Trump surrogates and the Russian government". Sessions was not a Trump surrogate (even though he was called one at times) and did not communicate with the Russians about the campaign as he said in his response. He met with the ambassador in his capacity as a Senator, one of them at a Heritage Foundation conference. He did not lie and he maintains he did not act as a surrogate discussing the campaign on behalf of the Trump team. This is just another example of the Democrats and their shills in the media attempting to delegitimize Trump rather than examining why they lost. I hope they keep this fake stuff up because at some point if something real does occur who will believe them or the media. Even a writer for the WaPo agrees this is fake.

I just saw where Rep. Elijah Cummings(D-MD), is calling for Sessions to resign. Cummings said "a lie is a lie, period. He knows the law. He's probably prosecuted people fot telling untrue statements to the FBI and others." Where was his concern about lies throughout Obama's tenure as President? In my opinion, the "worst" and most "damaging" lies told to the American people were when Obama said, "if you have a doctor you can keep your doctor, if you like your plan you can keep your plan, and your premiums will go down". Of colurse "lies" were pervasive during Obama's eight years.

Now, Sessions is going to provide a statement to the Judiciary committee that he had two meetings. Sounds like a statement from a liar. The Right can spin it but he lied.

No, he did not lie. The question was about surrogates meating to talk to the Russians about the campaign. He said he did not do that. Now had Franken asked him if he has ever met with anyone from the Russian government in any capacity and he answered that way then he would either be lying or forgetful. What I don't get is why this is important to you. You don't seem to care when Dems lie about something that is actually important. Try to have a modicum of intellectual honesty here. The fact is you don't care about lying by politicians. If you did you could never have voted for Obama for a second term or Hillary.

I see nothing has changed about the way you respond to my posts. Yes, that is your prerogative. For the most part you usually respond to my initial posts in a negative and defensive way to try and avoid the main subject. Why can't you at least speak to the "lies" that transcended Obama's eight years and all of Hillary's "lies" about her Email scandal. It's ok with you that she met with numerous leaders of foreign countries soliciting millions of dollars of contributions to the Clinton Foundation while she was Secretary of State. What is being pursued against Sessions Is like comparing a "mountain" to a "mole hill" to the damage she and Obama has inflicted on the United States. I return to my original post and ask do you have no "sympathy" for the millions of people who lost their doctors and either lost their insurance or have seen their premiums and deductables skyrocket? I just returned from my meeting with a young man who is in his thirties(married with two children}, who handles my needs for my CPAC machine. He said his monthly insurance premiums are $1300.00 dollars. He said he never thought insurance coverage for his family would exceed his monthly mortgage payment. It is "sickening" to say the least when I saw the Democrats with their "wonderful" insurance plans paid for by we tax payers sitting on their "hands" during President Trump's speech to the nation. Why not let them "fend" for themselves like the rest of us have to do. Hopefully those who have "abandoned" their constituents will pay the price when their term limits are up.

"While still in the Senate, Jeff Sessions met with the Russian Ambassador at least twice—once at his Senate office in September and once at an event at the Republican National Convention in July. Now-Attorney General Sessions omitted both these meetings in his testimony during his confirmation hearings. Sessions and his Trump backers pushed back against the revelations saying that it was, essentially, a misunderstanding—Sessions conducted those meetings in his role as United States Senator, not a Trump campaign adviser, therefore he didn't perjure himself. It was convenient, if hurried logic and it spread quickly. “He was literally conducting himself as a United States Senator,” Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Thursday. “This is what senators do in the course of conducting themselves in their jobs.”
Was Jeff Sessions conducting himself as a United States Senator at the RNC? Not so much. The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Sessions paid for the trip to Cleveland for the convention out of his own political funds, not his official congressional funding, and discussed the Trump campaign, obviously, during his remarks at the Heritage Foundation event where he met with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. “One person at the Heritage event in Cleveland said Mr. Sessions left the impression he was there because of his role in the Trump campaign,” the Journal reports. “This person said Mr. Sessions’ remarks in part were focused on Mr. Trump’s trade policy, saying the then-candidate would do away with multilateral trade deals.” At the time, Sessions was the chairman of Trump’s National Security Advisory Committee."
From the Journal:
Larry Noble, general counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan advocacy group, said Mr. Sessions likely used his campaign account, rather than official Senate funds, because as a senior adviser to the Trump campaign it would have been difficult to argue that he wasn’t attending the convention for any political purpose. “If he was truly there solely as a member of the Armed Services Committee, then he could’ve used his legislative account,” Mr. Noble said.
"So, in short, on one of the two occasions that Jeff Sessions met with the Russian Ambassador he technically was not, in fact, acting in his role as a U.S. Senator. What was he then?"

Sessions didn't lie. He didn't meet with the Russian Ambassador in his role as a Trump supporter, he met with him as a member of Congress. And no one has said who initiated the meeting. I suspect it was the Russian. It would be bad govenrment for Sessions to not meet with him. Session should not resign. I seem to think it is the black caucus in Congress that is behind this thinking. For whatever reasons, they can't seem to get beyond things that happened 50 years ago and it frosts them that he was made AG over their objections. So now they want to smear him.

So to prove collusion the D setup a meeting between the Russians and Sessions, or at least had a Russian present - then passed the information around as "proof".

“I have no hard evidence of collusion,” Mr. Coons told “Fox News Sunday.”
