McConnell is pathetic. He has no scruples.....just a bag of wind.
"A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project. Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion."

I agree! How can Mitch McConnell show his face after agreeing with the Senate agenda which appeased him by including an earmark of $3,000,000,000 for the Dam Project in his home state of Kentucky? Just another example of the low-life we have that claim to be representatives of the will of the people. It's easy to see how all of a sudden he and Senator Reid became so buddy-buddy. He and Reid are two outstanding examples of why we need fixed terms for members of Congress. It's no wonder why polls show that 80% or more of the American people think we need to clean house of those who only pursue their "personal" agendas and could care less about the country and the people who pay their salaries. The fact that they have no "shame" for accepting subsidies for Obamacare while the people they represent are not given the same benefit is wrong. Why are they deemed so "special" when they can't even pass a budget in over five years? WE THE PEOPLE have to live within our means or likely face bankruptcy. We elect you, send you to Congress to represent the will of the people, pay your salaries, and the best you can do is create crises for five years, and then blame someone else. What a pathetic bunch of "wimps" who call themselves "leaders". The time has come to demand a "balanced" budget before it is too late. We are near the point that many European countries are already experiencing. One last comment!! From my point of view, the goal of the democrats was to shut down the government. Why else were all the elaborate signs already pre-printed and in place all around the country, and the barricades immediately available to be placed around our national monuments and other unnecessary locations, but none were placed around the national mall?

You watch, McConnell will say that the pork was put in without his knowledge by Reid and Obama. Hope the good folks in Kentucky see through this and rid us of this career politician. He most certainly calculated how many votes this would generate in his next reelection bid.
