Is there anyway to avoid a disaster? I think a recent post by MartiniMan has a lot of merit, however, time is running out. Is it possible to get some type of agreement with Mexico to arrange for some type of transportation back to their home countries? Most of these people may have a legitimate need, but they have been coaxed by someone or some group into the situation they are in and it is "despicable" that anyone would use such an "inhumane" method to gain political aspirations. Any person or persons found responsible should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I feel that this two year obstruction to the presidency of President Trump has negatively affected many people in many more ways than ever anticipated. I hope at some point there will be a realization of the damage and division this has created in our Country and that those who have played a part in this will someday have to face the "music".                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Can you imagine the "fear" right now of those who live on our Southern borders because Congress has "kicked the can down the road" way too many years. This is a problem that would have been solved years ago if Congress had done their job and enacted the "will" of the people and not the "will" of the PARTY!

I heard he ordered more troops, but they are not supposed to engage.  Huh?  I heard an opinion today that it will be months before they get to the U.S. border.  If we can't use our troops to defend our borders, why have them?  I don't know, maybe they are working out an agreement with Mexico behind the scenes.

Its at record lows which allows some people with skills to get to move up, and people without skills are still going to run lawn mowing operations because they want or have no other choice - which you want  put out of business.  It does not mean that everyone gets to move up and get great paying jobs just because there are openings.  You make it sound like since we have more people available to cut grass that Obama created more yards for them to cut with that magic wand he kept wondering about.

You think of jobs like apples on a tree - just snatch one down and you to can become CEO without any skills or anything.  We have jobs aplenty so just fling open the doors and let everyone in - migrants can get you a nursing job today, wait you have no training, well that dont matter, how about a lawyer, wait no law school?  damn well here is a mower and a blower we got lots of people doing that and 7000 more wont matter.

All those low paying jobs you are bitching about the caravaners "taking" from Americans are the jobs that are going begging because there is not enough American supply to fill the American demand...it's called a market economy.  If all 7000 get in (last caravan only a dozen or so did) it would not put one lawyer or nurse out of work but it might make it maybe slightly easier for some lawyers and nurses to get a cleaning lady or yard man or somebody to repair their drywall or Paint their kitchen or build them a deck a little quicker, easier and without having to sell their first born to pay for it!  Try to understand, I know it's hard but you can do it!

As to your reference to hospitals in Appalachia, I assume you are referring to the poor people in the area as the ones who are visiting the emergency rooms. That could very well be the case since it is very likely that many of them have lost their jobs due to an influx of illegal immigrants.

BTW: I do not know the administrator of DeKalb Medical Center but spent an unpleasant Sunday evening with a bad leg injury and infection in their ER back in May and did not see a single one of my fellow patients that appeared to be Hispanic (or Asian for that matter).  All were white or black people who were speaking English as their native tongue!
