in the Eastchase Center (right in front of Dillards). There was an interesting article about the sitore in the Montgomery Advertiser. Anything that they call "local" is grown or from a farm within 100 miles of the store. The theory being that it could be picked in the morning, trucked to the store and sold the next day.
I didn't have time to stop in today because I had to go to the Vintage Olive for some high quality flavored olive oils. I have it on good authority that their fig and balsamic vinegar is to die for. The Vintage Olive is next store the the Peppertree Steaks and Wine shop.
I just came back from Atlanta and stopped at the DeKalb Farmer's Market. It's unbelievable how cheap some of the food is. They have stuff from all over the world and their fresh veggies & fruit are very fresh. How about turkey Kielbasa and Choriso? Fresh grouper filets for $12/ lb? All types of cheese for about 1/2 of Fresh Market and Whole Paycheck? A pint of organic sundried tomatoes for $2? Couldn't find the ear candles though.....
