“For example, an overweight woman who follows a healthy meal plan and has the energy to exercise regularly, may be healthier than an underweight woman who doesn't follow similar health behaviors.”
So the current thinking is that a fat woman who follows a “healthy meal plan” [Uh… how did she get fat if that is the case?] and “has the energy to exercise regularly” [not if she’s fat] "may be healthier than an underweight woman who doesn’t follow similar health behaviors." If that is the case, the women who lived in the 60s were unhealthy.
RIGHT !
It’s called “fat shaming” for a reason. If you are fat it’s because you do not have the discipline to control your intake of calories… especially fat calories. It’s because you don’t get off the couch and exercise.
Logic: It’s okay to be that way. Because they make clothes especially for you and show images telling you it’s okay to have rolls of fat on your “curvy” body. (It’s the stuff that floats to the top when your crock pot cools.)
Pork is pork. It ain’t chicken!
The average U. S. woman is 5’ 4” and weighs 170.6 pounds. PORKER!
If a woman today weighed as much as the average woman in 1960 – 140 pounds at 5’ - 4”, tall she’d have tough time finding clothes to wear. She would be a size O… maybe a 2… today. (Back then it was probably a 4 or a 6.)
OH! But, that’s not exactly true. Shop at Kohl’s, Belk, or Parisian… but, in the juniors department. If you are a fit and slim woman today, you’ll have to buy your clothes in the department sized for teen girls. (Don’t worry, they also provide clothing for teen girls headed for the curvy group.)
Then there’s always, Talbots and Ann Taylor (Loft). They have yet to completely cave to the delusions of the average American woman. Bring money.
You would think that it is cheaper to make clothes for small women. Nope… it’s all about volume. Check the sales! The 50% off is for the BIG stuff. The small stuff is still full price.
* * * * *
At this point you may be asking, “Why is this MAN talking about women’s clothing?”
The average American male weighs 197 pounds at 5’ - 8” tall. If you were to weigh 147 pounds at 5’ – 8” tall you’d be out of luck to find a pair of jeans that fit… unless you shop in the boys department. Our, you could settle for baggy and frumpy.
Have you even noticed that there isn’t a “Curvy” fashion for men? Nope! Fat men are okay.
You may have noted, on a previous post of mine I stated: “Only 23 percent of Americans qualify for our job. We have people who want to go in the Army, but they can’t pass the tests. They’re either not physically fit, or they can’t pass the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery).”
Think slowly… this post will come together for you.
Yes… I’ll have another piece of pie.
