I don't know if anyone else has been here, but...
My family and I ave eaten there several times and thoroughly enjoy it. We were so excited when they added wine and imported beer as a part of their market. I agree about the steaks too,....they melt in your mouth!!! I don't know how they are faring through the winter here on the lake but I know I am going to support them so they will be here this coming summer!!!!!

It is located on Hwy 229 between Hwy 63 and Anchor Bay. The food and service is GREAT!

Actually it is a very casual but good place. It is neither fancy or extensive with the menu. (but who says it has to be?)

I would give it favorable comment and a very clean atmosphere. It is a wonderful place for soup and sandwich or a nice salad for lunch.

I would rate Cactus Grill in Eclectic as a preferred choice for similar price and quality. It is great to have both places for a day to day change.

WOW! These first bytes and post may well lead to real time bites as I hear the establishment has good eats.. It's cold here and it may warm on me. Happy new year may well all discover good taste.

You are from the area originally (I forgot where exactyly) and have made a few trips down in the recent couple of years.

You should be able to provide a specialized insight as to where you enjoyed staying, your preferred eating establishments and even night spots. What can you tell us and offer from your experience as an out of towner?

You are also from a large City with lots of hot spots and a certain perspective on life. We could use a fresh and different perspective.

We recently hosted a small party during the holidays catered by Green Valley. They did a great job and everyone raved about the food! We think Green Valley is one of the best things happening on lake!

Agreed. I reviewed the eatery on a blog post a while back (linked below)...

Dear Feb.. Two years ago this past feb., I spent the best birthday of my life at te lake. With family, and I believe I know the owners.. And yes, though it's winter.. and I now know the lake levels are lowered in winter.. The next few weeks might find reason for Geno to simply jump into the lake.. On a heavier, much heavier note it will be one year to the day I lost my father, to cancer on January 19.. I do miss the lake and I've known that theirs taste at the lake and I need to find time to dine. And touch base with those I love. Happy New Year All!

But as we found out, they are closed on Monday.......

Monday seems to be a difficult day for eating out around the Lake. I think the CactusGrill and Carlos are both closed then too.

By the way, Green Valley also sells homemade pies, cookies, cakes and hand dipped chocolates.
