Wonder why?  I don't and the graphics below tell you why.  They were much derided for their approach of protecting the elderly and vulnerable and letting others go about their business with reasonable precautions that didn't decimate their economy.  Total cases per million is 20th and much lower than countries that killed their economy.  Total deaths per million is 8th and better than several other European countries.  And they will continue to drop in ranking as time goes on.  Herd immunity, folks.....herd immunity.

**Norway has 53% of the population but only 11% of the infections and less than 5% the deaths,  Denmark 58% as many people but 17% the cases and 11% the deaths.

So yeah, tell us again why nobody is talking about Sweden.

Archie, for someone so obsessed with COVID death rates and the lack of leadership with what you call a "crisis", can you please explain your party's willingness to absolutely encourage more morbidity and mortality with denial of the benefits of the HCQ, Zinc and Azithrymycin protocol?  Correct me if I am wrong, but it does appear as if your party desires more death in order to pin it on Trump and his administration.  Playing politics with COVID therapeutics is a path that your party has chosen to go down and you will pay a price.  Denying patients the ability to be prescribed these medications when I can faintly remember hearing the chant "my body, my choice" from your side when it came to the abortion debate, must mean that "my body, my choice" only applies to those who support the Democratic platform.

As you should understand, no party has denied the right of a physician to prescribe "these medications". The studies do so far indicate they are not useful in treating COVID-19 . Most physicians would not at this point choose to prescribe. That's the way it usually works.

This is not a political  plot! Neither is wearing a mask!

My statement has nothing to do with my status as a doctor. It does, however, reflect the opinion of reputable experts in the field who have performed studies. There may ultimately be found a use for this drug in the treatment of COVID-19 but none has been found to date. Quit showing your ignorance in an area that you clearly know nothing about. Let CRD defend his own peculiar stance on the subject. Your putting in your two cents is about as helpful as Wix weighing in on a topic.

Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan became the cabal of Neanderthal kooks such as yourself, MM, the Lake Martin triplidiots (WIX, Phil and Lifer,) not to mention Donald J Trump that denies science (medical and otherwise) while embracing every nutty conspiracy put forwards by the likes Q-Anon, Info Wars and clown “doctors” advocating for Hydroxychloriquine and dream sex with demons?

I still consider myself an “extreme” moderate independent.  In the past there have been years when I voted almost as often for Republicans as Democrats.  That was until the most extreme elements hyjacked the GOP.  The Democrats have lots of flaws, but compared to the current crop of gutless wonders calling themselves Republicans, the Democrats look amazingly reasonable and competent even while falling well short of Churchillian.

Yes I am pro-choice with some restrictions as are most Americans, but that does not equal pro-abortion and it certainly does not make me a “baby killer” as I was once called by MM.  I do not believe in blindly indorsing drugs that the vast majority of medical professionals, backed up by clinical evidence, warn is ineffective at best and dangerous at worse.  Yes, you bet your sweet azz I am concerned about 155,000 dead Americans and for, that matter, 5800 dead Swedes and question the wisdom of anyone who is not and yes I do think this pandemic is a very very serious crisis and question the sanity of anyone, such as you, who does not...especially since you showed so much concern about 8% as many deaths from H1N1...deaths that you blamed on the “ineffective leadership” of Joe Biden while showing not a Tinker’s damn of concern about the “leadership” of one Donald Trump in the Age of COVID!

World Net Daily is the rightwing nut world’s answer to Michael Moore and his leftest “documentaries”.  I don’t give a rats fanny about what a Swedish doctor advises....ask him or her why Sweden has one of the highest COVID death rates on the plant?  I put credence in the advice of 99%+ doctors and medical scientists that think otherwise and know not to look to WND for truth!

Sweden did close all high schools and colleges, Sweden did urge those that could work from home to do so, Sweden did put a maximum of 50 people in group settings, Sweden paid unemployment benefits equal to salary for those losing their job due to the virus, Sweden guaranteed full salary to all who had to leave work due to being infected with COVID until they are able to return to work, Sweden does have (horrors) a ''socialized medicine'' national healthcare program.  You still high on Sweden Shorty, MM, CRD?
