I have long wondered if the main reason the "swamp" is doing everything they can to get rid of Trump is they are afraid he will expose the kick back coming from all this "aid" we lavish on all these countries? Why else would we borrow tons of money to give away?
If there has ever been a time we need term limits, it is mow!

I agree! I bet if we could get one "lump sum" that would show everything that we provide in the way of aide to foreign countries that we could clear the National Debt and have some left over. There are certain areas where we benefit by providing aide, but it has grown so much over the years with little oversight that we would be appalled if we knew the true extent of our generosity.

I realize you probably don't read the WP or the NYT, but there has beena series of exposees on what we spent in Afghanistan (1.3T) and how little has been accomlished. But anytime you want to know, you can read the legislation that will give you a good idea. As far as milititary aid, some of the aid is used to buy U.S. weapons and allows us the economies of scale to buy what our military needs. It's a shell game to some extent - different colors of money and how they can be used.

Thanks for the information. I knew that what I was asking for was like "fishing in the deep blue sea", but I think it would really be an eye opener if there was a way to even come close to what our overall cost of providing mlitary aide and all the other types of aide that we provide to foreign countries into one big "lump sum". I think the total sum would be "mind-boggling".
