Despite their worthless promises our elected senators and congressmen will never in Hell vote for term limits. However, there is a way. It has never been done before but now is the time to break up that incestuous cabal Washing has become.
Amendment V has a provision that if Washington becomes too corrupt the 2/3 of the states can convein a Convention for the purpose of proposing Constitutional amendments. Then if they are ratified by 3/4 of the states they become law! We now almost have enough Republican Governors to pull this off.
The two amendments we so sorely need are:
Term Limits
&
Making our elected officials subject to the very same laws we are without all the perks
Maybe we can revive the Tea Party. It would be a great cause. Who, other than politicians, would be against it. Lets nail the flag to the mast, run out the guns and do it!!!!

I want nothing to do with the Tea Party, but if people would stop and analyze the effectiveness of their representative every election, instead of rotely voting for the same person, because of their party, every time, it would stop the nonsense in Congress.
I actually wrote to Shelby about this, and he sent back a rather arrogant letter about how the people decide every time they vote. I feel that the founding fathers never intended or envisioned a professional politician, since politics were a side line for them, not a career.
So if we want change, stop voting the party and start voting the person. Shelby is a good example of someone that should have been thrown out by the voters years ago. And he'll continue to run, until he falls over dead. Look at McCain - incurable Brain Cancer with a terrible prognosis and he won't quit and go home. NO, he'll continue to hold his seat, run his mouth until he actually dies - becasue his widow will get a bigger benefit if he dies on the job.
