That is very good ... I think we should make bumper stickers that just say "Psalms 109.8"

What you ask is difficult. The Jews were implored by Jesus to respect and accept Roman authority. In actuality, the Romans allowed the people of Israel to be ruled by their own king (Herod). And, indeed Herod was perverse, and corrupt.
So… with respect to our president, let us pray for a miracle. We should pray that he may convert to a realization of the value of industry, self reliance, and self discipline. That he may come to realize that the greatest nation on earth cannot be charitable to desperate people of other nations if that great nation is itself failing morally and economically. We pray that he listen to scientists for scientific guidance… to generals and admirals for military advice… to bankers, CPAs and economists for economic advice… to doctors and nurses for medical advice… usw
We pray that he will regularly attend a true church of God for religious guiance. I pray… if he will not attend a real church (as opposed to one that espouses confrontation and intolerance)… that he will read and understand only one book of the Bible… the book of Luke.
If he would not be Christian, then we pray that he would accept and understand the law as it was given to Moses.
AND, we pray to God that he will read and understand the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and therein see the face of God.
I will stay my temper long enough to pray for true faith to be revealed to our president.

Talk about taking something out of context. It's not even an original thought -- came off some other message board.
If you had read the whole passage, it might have been logical prayer against the terrorists. Sorry, but I think picking and chosing things out of the Bible is pretty low.

Surely you are taking umbrage at the bumper sticker post. Simply take it as an argument for impeachment. (Comical)

Yeah, I probably am humorless. I'm not finding anything in Washington too funny right now. I'll work on getting my sense of humor back.

We do agree on something. Spending (more) time in a foreign country just serves to solidify my impresssion of the desperate straits we find ourselves in.

Don't look at Montgomery, you will see very little difference there.
