First of all, I'm JC from Atlanta (JCAT) no disrespect for CAT . . . .

I have a 2006 Yamaha FX HO Waverunner that got stuck in LIMP MODE. At first I thought that I might have selected L-Mode (low speed for children) with the remote, but that was not the case.

Apparently L-Mode and LIMP Mode limit the engine rpm's to 4000. The engine will normally run and rev to 7000rpms.

What might cause LIMP MODE ?

There are times when I'm in "limp mode" for no apparent reason.

I'll bet "weedooseadoo" would know how to fix your PWC. He don't frequent the site very much, but is listed in the advertiser section.

ps. Now there are TWO cats here to fight all those dogs off.

I know limp mode can be caused by you being caught oiling your neighbor's bumpers, but have never seen it affect a PWC.

put viagra in the tank and get someone with well oiled bumpers to stroke it. if the waverunner and the owner of the bumpers don't have excessive hours, you can skip the viagra

JCAT. I'm jumping in late but if you are still having this problem you might want to consider taking it to Fomby's and Sons on the small side of the 49 bridge. They have a certified Yamaha master technician on staff that does a great job. He can get it fixed for you. I have 2 2003 FX HO's and he has done an excellent jb keeping them up.
