In his defense I suspect he knows he can't beat Sessions or Tuberville so he has little to lose and can ingratiate himself for his future lobbying career. At least he actually came from Alabama. I just read an article that my current congress critter seems to actually live in Chattanooga and not Georgia.

Why are all you conservative, fiscally responsible, no deficit spending Republicans wanting to spend 2 trillion dollars we don't have? After all ''We only have 15 cases and soon it will be zero.'' Not to mention Trump just said he is probably telling most of the country to get back to work when the 16 day ''social distancing'' period ends. No reason to make the ''cure worse than the disease.''

I think you are right. The senate needs to go home and let the chips fall they may. Those old folks have had a good life and we should not mortgage the future of young people. Let's save 1.7 trillion and resume our lives.
enough already.

He voted against the bill on Sunday, then when he got hammered he vote yes because he know it wouldn't pass cloture because all his fellow Senators were going to vote no. Getting permission to vote yes on the exact same bill the next day is no virtue.

I can't say that I blame them. Hard to defend something so despicable and evil.

But he voted yes, on the last vote. I'm not defending him - I personally don't care for him and will not be sad to see him voted out. But let's give credit, when it is due.

It was the same bill...he deserves zero credit for such a cynical move on his part. He knew that it wouldn't pass. Zero credit!

I didn't say I thought he deserved any credit. He's dead in the water and he knows it. His vote was just symbolic for future reference.

Here is what you posted.
"But he voted yes, on the last vote. I'm not defending him - I personally don't care for him and will not be sad to see him voted out. But let's give credit, when it is due."
But I agree with your last post......just clarifying for the record that I wasn't making it up.
