Wow, the only man ever to walk the AT to its previously unknown southern terminus in Buenos Aires (where his mistress awaited) has received enough votes from the "family values" bunch and outdoor adventure types to be the GOP nominee for Congress!!

You are just jealous that he is not a Democrat. How can a hottie be attracted to a conservative?

Havent been following politics lately, far too busy prepping for the day when you democommieprogs will literally eat your own to survive. Are you talking about that guy that "did not have sex with that woman", or his VP that rammed legislation through requiring lyrics labelling as he "manhandled" his "massage therapist", or that beacon of fairness, the rev without a church, JJ that knocked up his intern, or maybe the serial liar and plagarist that sits one heartbeat away from the oval office, or your war hero secretary of state, or perhaps your treasury secretary with the earnings disclosure issues, or maybe you could be talking about the advocate for pedophilia that yours call the secretary of education, maybe you are speaking of that congressman that tweeted his meat? Like I said, havent had time to follow much political lately, can you share a name and the circumstances with me?

Archiebelle,
Go clean up your Atlanta school district or there are going to be many more candidates for your job as a disgruntled interior decorator. The kids there will be just like you and have to bill themselves as an architect rather than an interior decorator if your don't get that done.

Not is a primary anyway. Don't know who his opponent is but I suspect it will be a typical libtard Dem and so I would probably vote for him in the general.
However, I seriously doubt he ran his primary campaign on family values. Unlike liberals who seem fixated on nothing more than sex and sexual orientation, there are other issues out there that are important as well. I suspect the primary voters in SC have forgiven him his transgressions and view him as the most likely candidate to win in the general. I suppose the good news for the Dem that runs against him is he/she won't have to worry about his/her own personal failings. They will just focus on other issues like limited government, strong national defense, lower taxes, etc. On that score even the worst GOP candidate is better than the best Dem candidate.

Is it so hard for you family-values / T Party crowd around L Martin to accept that your fellow travelers in SC have nominated a known liar and admitted philanderer and as their candidate for the House of Representatives, that the only way you can deal with it is, as usual, to demean me rather than defend him? I know it is something of an embarrassment, but face it, most of you would enthusiastically support Sanford no matter what he did or what he supports and no matter who his opponent for one reason and one reason only....he has an R after his name.

if not always, your response is relatively reasonable. Something rare on this forum
His opponent is longtime Charlestonian Elizabeth Colbert Busch (sister of satirist funny man Stephen Colbert). She is a successful business-woman in the maritime / shipping industry. While she is probably not someone you would consistently agree with (I do think she is Catholic), she is not a knee jerk liberal by any means, There are also no reports of her spending long periods of time on the AT. I suggest you get to know her MM...who knows she might be someone you could support even if she is afflicted with moderation.

You support obama only because he has a "D" after his name. Go back into your hole and clean up the school systems at your local level. If they keep cheating on testing in the Atlanta area you will be in danger of losing your job as a failed interior decorator.

I seriously doubt I could vote for her if I did live in that district as she is most likely pro-abortion which is a non-starter for me if the other candidate is pro-life. However, if she were pro-life and conservative on other social and economic issues I would certainly give her a good look. But I am skeptical given her brother's liberalism that she is all that different but you never know.

Certainly, the man has his failings and for that I would not vote for him in a primary unless, of course, another conservative was not available as a better choice. You are quick to point out his failings and Republican support for him but you ignore the long standing Democrat support for those in your own party with equal or worse personal failings. There is one thing which I can be sure of and that is that his supporters did NOT vote for him because of his color! Now Archie, don't go getting that high n mighty indignation going because it will not wash here. When Obama began to campaign, you guys ran around calling anyone racist that would not support him. In fact many in your camp publicly and loudly proclaimed "How can you not vote for the first black candidate for president?". I say to you that voting for someone because of the color of their skin is just as bad as not voting for someone because of the color of their skin.
