Only an idiot would put a sign like that in the yard. It might encourage someone to break in next door. The sign does not strike me as a very wise move. Other than that, the lawn is really green and weedless.

I love it. If I had one of those weirdo neighbors I would put one of those signs in my yard.

I see the sign now. I posted it because of the nice looking yard and flower bed.

Nothing is real anymore. My intuition says it's photo-shopped.

Hmmm... question for the sharks:
If your neighbor puts up a sign like that... and you arm yourself because of it... and then you shoot an intruder... is that not premeditated?
Please explain the proximate cause of the death?
Whose behavior (action) is unreasonable?
If the murder case is dismissed, is there a civil case?

In the past 37 years a handgun has saved my butt 6 times. 4 times when I was a traveling salesman and 2 times when I was in the firearms, restaurant, and quick stop store business. Those idiots next door haven't been there or done that. They have been lucky. Hope their luck holds, but if not, so be it.

It is in NCII's neighbor's yard, but the handwriting on the back looked like hers..... Not sure what that means.

I looked at the photo carefully and it looks genuine to my untrained eyes. The reason I think so is as follows: 1) it looks like there is small piles of dirt right next to the posts where they enter the ground (especially the right post); and 2) it looks like there is a light shadow to the left of the sign. Neither are slam dunks that it is real but it looks like it to me.
Obviously this individual does not have a loving relationship with his or her neighbor. I tend to agree with GF that I would not put up this sign, if only because I can see the lawyer making hay out of this if someone breaks into their house.

It looks "shopped" to me, but if genuine, an easy fix would be for the mentioned neighbor to accept the responsibility of protecting his or her family, purchase a gun or a few, and make sure all in the home are trained to use them. After that, the sign could come down and all in the neighborhood .. I mean village .. would be better off.

Or, it could be a Trojan Horse. The house next door is loaded to the teeth. The house with the sign is unprotected.
A game warden happened upon two fishermen on the Coosa River bank. One fishermen threw down his cane pole and took off running. The game warden caught him about three hundred yards down river. The game warden panted - OK, I am ticketing you for fishing without a license. The guy then produced a valid fishing license. The game warden ssid, well why did you run. The response, my friend did not have a license.

About like the story of the drunk patrons leaving the bar after the "designated decoy"...
