I had read previous reports on here about LaPosada. Saturday we had a chance to try LaPosada, and it was excellent. The food and the service was great. If you haven't tried them, you should. We need to keep this place open, as it was a pleasant surprise, and really good.

And by pleasant surprise, the staff brought out sombreros and sang to the family. It was quite entertaining.

We try to go at least once a week, they are really trying to make a great experience out of texmex in Dadeville. They do, however, need to learn at least one more song. Ay-ya-ya-ya, I'm feelin' loco........

I would not call it a great tex-mex. It's WAY too bland for that. The inside is very well done and the service is good but a little overdone. Helicopter waiters.

The quality of the food is good but not very creative. But! For Dadeville it's great and we should support it if we can. I'm amazed its here.

I wish there was a Mexican grocery in Auburn. Has anybody seen one? I need some authentic guacamole!

If you want authentic guacamole go to Los Cabos in Montgomery (across East Blvd from Lowes). Order "top shelf" guacamole. Prepared at your table, starting with real avocados, adding (to your taste) cilantro, onions, tomatoes, jalapenos and lime juice.

It is the real deal....if you happen to be in Fungummery...give it a try and tell Rigo (the owner) that Jim sent you (I might get a comp 'grita out of it).
