Can others hear this at their lake house?

We are near a private range, so we sometimes hear gun shots, but nothing like a machine gun.  You have to have a special, hard to get permit for a fully automatic machine gun.

A fairly new enterprize here at the lake is Machine Gun LLC on Red Hill Road. Allows people to shoot mach guns. Is a business on the Forum.

Sounds like paint guns for adults. Will have to try it.

Yes. we live close by the machine gun place and we hear it mainly on the weekends. Sounds like a war zone. At first I didn't know of the new place and was freaking out. If you have dogs you should be aware of this and their hours so you can be prepared to keep them inside. I am sure they have a fb page you can look up.

I can't hear it but I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Forgot about that. I remember reading an article about it.

"You have to have a special, hard to get permit for a fully automatic machine gun."

A common myth. No permit needed, only a $200 tax and registration and transfer approval on ATF form 4 after fingerprints and background check. Hard to get part is the 15 to 30 thousand dollars they command these days thanks to Charlie Rangel and Bill Hughes back in 1986.

Sorry, don't keep up here like we should, although we are a paid advertiser supporting the forums and the lake.

All but two firearms are suppressed (Silencer if you are in the snowflake camp), and you will probably not know we are operating unless you are very close to the range these days.  Our normal business hours are Sat 9-3 and Sun 12-3, and during the week by appointment ( usually corporate events during the week midday )  Plenty of people on the lake that like to shoot, and are not suppressed.. so most of the time, that is who/what you might hear.   ( When we opened in Dec - Everything was not suppressed - expecially the M2HB, and there was not hiding that little guy ) that is suppressed as well.

The other gentleman is correct, there are a number of legal machine guns you can purchase assuming you are a legally able.  They range from the low teens to $50K+ , thus one of the reasons we have the range experience.  Not everyone can afford $29K in order to shoot a WWII Thompson that our greatest generation carried on D-Day, and across the sands of Iwo Jima.

If you ever want to learn some history, experiemce shooting without hearing protection required, and see how useless full-auto is in real-life (hint Hollywood is not real) in a safe enviroment, book online and come on by.
