Enough of the d.r. commercials. I am going to request the webmaster block your account. Besides, anybody that has to troll so hard for such varied jobs can't be that good at any of them. I know d.r. he did a job for a friend some years back but the trolling HAS to stop.

You suzyq are not a customer of his you are in fact one of his competitors. Would you like me to cut and paste your email to me back on Jan 30 for everyone to see? When you were asking about the possibility of him doing a big sea wall job for you because I checked with him and d.r. hasn't done a sea wall job since December. D.r. mentioned to me before how competitors like yourself get on here and snipe competitors. I think that is wrong and tacky. :( please by all means give us your name and address so anyone can come by and look at his work. Otherwise this will confirm your a liar...if y'all didnt run such mega ads maybe y'all wouldn't have to charge people 3×s as much to pay for your ads.

Sparkles, by the way I have the paper work signed by D R to prove that he did sea wall work for me.
|
Sparkles is doin' d.r.....lol....or maybe it's the other way around.

Voss is very good, but a little pricey; a good option. I put in my own system (after getting some quotes) and it works great. It took some planning and research (which isn't hard to do). In the end, I saved between 7 and 8k so I guess it was worth it....only problem is now my wife expects same day service calls.

I have those service call issues myself. Rented a Ditch Witch and put in my own system. Worked great. Got hit by lightening three years later and I replaced controller and several valves. Bought the supplies from a vendor in Texas and they were very helpful with the details, if you decide to tackle it yourself.

I put in a system but had a well guy drill for water and he brought a pipe out of the ground. I attached a T to the top of the pump with 6 faucets. Put hoses on the faucets and ran them underground to the sprinkler heads. I bought a 2HP pump from HD that is for Lawn Irrigation. I do not have zones and valves. I bought a Digital timer online from HD for arond $70. I ran a 240 line for the pump. There is no tank on top of the pump. It comes on and waters the entire yard. It stays on for the length of time I set the timer and the days of the week. It goes off when it reaches the set time. The yard area that it covers at one time is 50x125. I installed it 10years ago and it keeps on running.
My wife is a Master gardener and as plants grow I have to move some of the heads. With the hoses, it just pull em up and move em. The only negative is sometimes when we dig we forget to check for a hose and cut them. I keep a supply of connectors and splice the hose back together.
It is neat when someone visits and I show them how I can water the entire yard with the push of a button the pump.
We hit water around 15-20 feet down. The lawn irrigation pump is a shallow water pump. If youhave to go deep, youmay need a deep well pump. If I were you, go to HD and check the details of the lawn irrigation pump.
My neighbors have allthese zones with their system. Paid alot and still can't figure out how to set all the zones.
I did not rent any machines to dig a trench. I took a pick and went around the yard to a depth of maybe 4 inchs or less and buried the hose after we set it above ground to determine where it should be for best coverage. I was wrong on one and just pulled it up and redid it.
Trust me, it was not rocket science. Just don't try and drill for water yourself. A neighbor did and had to call someone to fnish it.
