per family lawyers ( amazing how quickly these guys always show up ),  was due to be home to take daughter skating for her bday--instead was drunk & passed out in a drive thru --Mayor ( on Biden short list) gets white police chief to step down & calls for firing of officers--BEFORE an investigation--anything smell funny here ?

And why did they have to burn Wendy's ? owner or employees had no involvement ??? not out of a job

Prediction:  Our property values are about to take off.  ATL-hood, B-hood, and M-town hood great residents are about to give up on trying to continue to live in these ghettos.  Guess where the best alternative, and best possible community of great people is??  Ya got it!! Values are already up this year, housing availability is down, and the need is about to explode.....

I've been following this.  What is the common demominator in all these instances?  Resisting arrest!  The mayor (black) demanded the resignation of the Chief of Police (white) and fired the cop and put the 2nd cop on adminisrative leave.  And then the mob burned down the Wendy's and blocked the road.  Next time one of these calls comes up, I recommend the police tell the employees to deal with it.  Some idiots have suggested that the police "should have shot in in the legs", obviously not understanding that when you draw a weapon you have made a commitment to use deadly force and aim for center of mass.  

I'm watching this closely  now the family is unsatisfied and demanding "answers".  Want to bet that a cash settlement with the city, n the millions, will provide the answers.  

We are entering a phase of lawlessness.  People need to stand up and let BLM know that we're not going to put up with this crap.

comment today from a neighbor of ours when we lived in Dunwoody Ga. ( just north of I 258 by Perimeter Mall);

We have been overrun for several years now with way too many NY & NJ Yankees (the worst of the worst) and other foreigners. Dunwoody apartments are a haven for Indians and their huge families plus Hispanics from all over.  I love WalMart in Dunwoody, but won’t go on Sat. or Sun. as it is almost 100% and loaded.  Indian children are permitted to run wild there...unbelievable.  The Yankees turned Atlanta into Newark and now want to escape to Alabama, I guess, so they can pollute you folks too.  It’s an awful place to live nowadays and I can’t wait to escape.  I keep an equalizer close by many times, and always do as the sun starts to go down.

As one of those NJ "yankees" who has invaded the South, I take exception.  :-)

I think what we are seeing to the combination of the generation that thinks everything should be fair, that buys into the idea of systemic racism and a people who view everything that has ever happened to them on racism, because they can't accept or see that their own choices led them where they are.  Now we have a generation of white apologists - but the truth is, my family didn't have slaves and I have nothing to apologize for.  It does not make logical sense that all police are racist.  I think that a lot of the people rioting and protesting aren't smart enough to see that they are being manipulated by the political system that tells them what they want to hear.  Some woman on the internet started calling me a racist because she is a Southern Christian and she can see the suffering of her "black brothers and sisters" and that I can't see it.  No I can't.

Let's see.....drunk and passed out in his car....unarmed black man.  Failed a field sobriety test....just innocently going to take his daughter skating.  Resisted arrest......just minding his own business.  Assaults a police officer and takes his taser......unarmed black man.  Runs away and as he does turns and fires the taser at the officer......hands up, don't shoot, I can't breathe.  End result, he gets shot and killed.

That there were more riots and BLM puts this justified killing into the category of George Floyd exposes their hypocrisy.  News flash for anyone regardless of the color of their skin, if you do what this guy did you are going to be shot by the police regardless of the color of the skin of the officer.....full stop.
