Some highlights......or lowlights if you suffer from TDS.

Yovanovitch was asked if she had any evidence that Trump committed bribery or any crime for that matter....answer to both, no.  All that is left is her hurt feelings over being canned by Trump.

Morrison deposition included a couple of very significant items.  One, Vindman's edits to the July 25th call were indeed included in the final transcript.  Two, the ellipses were placed at the end of incomplete sentence and did not mean missing verbiage.  If it was inaudable, they would put that in brackets.  Three, Morrison (Vindman's boss) and Fiorna Hill both questioned Vindman's judgement.

Weekend depositions back in the SCIF blew up the idea that the funding was withheld for nefarious reasons.  Turns out it was withheld until they understood that the money would not be redirected or misused, that the funding was released and there has been no investigation of the Bidens in Ukraine.  We need to see all the depositions because all they seem to do is exonerate Trump from everything other than not doing what the deep state wanted with regard to hiring and firing and foreign affairs.

Finally, Adam Pencil Neck Schiff in a speech this weekend encouraged them to get out and vote against in Trump in 2020.......talk about having given up.  This was all so predictable just like the Russia collusion hoax.  But hey, it feeds the raging TDS on the left so they have some hope in 2020.

Why do you say she wasn't right for the Ukraine job?  She speaks the languages, has degrees in Russian studies, she was a seasoned diplomat?

The only thing I think was clear from her testimony was that she didn't have first hand knowledge and she was bitter that she had been recalled.  I think that is understandable, considering that she had just been asked to stay on for another year.  But I don't think her testimony really added anything to the case.  It probably made her feel better to air her grievances.

The interesting testimony will be Sonderland.  He has first hand knowledge because he actually talked with Trump.  Apparently he ticked Bolton off in a routine meeting with the Ukraine, by demanding that they open an investigation.  Sonderland got his position by being a big Trump donor, so he was not an FSO or a seasoned diplomat, and it seems to me that he is a wannabe politician.

I still think that at the end of the day, we will find out that Guiliani was behind all of this, and that he convinced Trump to go this route; and that he had a willing partner in Sonderland.

As I understand it she was very critical of Zelensky who eventually won the election and she was a Never Trumper.....so she was to say the least not a very desirable choice as an Obama holdover in that role.  She also ran into trouble during the Bush years when she was assigned to Armenia because she refused to acknowledge the Turkish genocide in Armenia.  Just comes down to her not being the right person for this administration that wanted to see Zelensky succeed.

If what has been leaked from the SCIF hearings I suspect Sondland's testimony will be another yawner.  And if you think picking Ambassador's based on skills as opposed to being a big donor/supporter of the current POTUS then you are apparently in the minority as this seems to be the bipartisan approach for rewarding big supporters.  Not saying it's right, just that this is the way it seems to work.

Either way the whole impeachment thing, as you rightly predicted, appears to be collapsing under its own weight of illegitimacy.  But Demos can't stop now because they need something to blunt the IG report and Durham investigation.  Sadly, they can count on their masters in the govt media to provide them with shade.  I can already see the headlines.  "Republicans Pounce on Partisan IG Report to Deflect From Latest Impeachment Bombshell that Orange Man Bad" with nary a mention of the actual contents or who has been referred to for prosecution and why.

She was asked point blank under oath if she was a "never Trump" and she said no.  And it seemed to me, based on her testimony that she had no problem with Zelensky, but had a problem with the former prosecuter whom she considered corrupt, and that he was the one that bad mouthed her to Guiliani.  I don't think most people lie under testimony, and having been recalled, she could have easily said that she didn't support the policy in Ukraine.  I more suspect it was this - she probaby called Guiliani in and told him that she was the Ambassador and he would have to work through her, and that ticked Guiliani off because he didn't think he should have to.  The whole problem could have been solved, if Trump had named Guiliani as his special envoy to Ukraine.  Likely everyone would have accepted that without question.  I think it is entirely possible that Guiliani has a problem with women in power - and don't tell me it never happens, because it happened to me.  I didn't get fired but he made my life difficult, tried to undermine my authority over the men in my office and kept referring to one of my top engineers as "that little girl".

I don't know about Armenia - but hell, our former Secretary of State Madelyn Not-so-bright, refused to acknowledge genicide in Rwanda but was more than happy to call it a genocide in Bosnia/Hertsogovinia, because that was "her" people. But in broad terms, most people who realize they serve at the pleasure of the President don't make waves.

I called her Madeline Half-bright, but yours is pretty apt as well.  The Never Trump came from the testimony of Morrison and so it may be wrong.  Either way, she admitted under oath that she had zero evidence Trump committed bribery or a crime and was gone before the call so I am still mystified why she was there except to complain about being canned.
