I'm going to do a rack of baby backs a little different (at least for me) this morning. I'm using the grill instead of the smoker. I will grill and baste the ribs at 300* for an hour or two. I will then wrap them in foil, lower the temp to 225* for about three hours. I'll post on how they turned out. Ribs, NASCAR on TV and being at the lake....it doesn't get any better than that!!!!

The ribs turned out "fall off the bone" great. I did however miss the good ole smokey taste. I grilled the ribs between 350* and 400* (I basted them every 15 minutes) for an hour and then wrapped them in foil for three hours at 225*. I'll do ribs this way again when I don't want to break out the smoker.

When you took them out of the foil did you put them back on the direct heat to carmalize the "bark"? What did you baste with.

I was so hungry when it was time to take the ribs off the grill that I did not even give the bark a thought. I started off basting the ribs with a vinger base NASCAR barbecue sauce and finished them up with thicker slightly on the sweet side bbq sauce. I'm telling you those ribs were truely fall off the bone goooooood!!!
