A few days ago I saw where some of the emails on Clinton's server were marked SBU, sensitive but unclassified. Does anyone else see the irony of this? The classified emails have no markings yet the unclassified do. To me it shows a pattern of (criminal) behavior. They didn't bother to strip the unclassified because they are unclassified and would pose no problem IF they were exposed. But all the classified ones had no markings. Makes me go hmm.
Of çourse those of us not crippled by mental illness or liberalism (I know that seems redundant but they have to be separated because although all liberals are mentally ill, not all mentally ill are liberals) knew without a doubt that she lied at the first press conference. To be SoS for 4 years yet claim to have never received a classified email is beyond incredulous.
So Archie and copper, you guys gonna try to explain how markings are on one type yet not the other? Just a coincidence I'm sure.

Lifer, the first thing you have to do is get a liberal to admit that the Hilda B____h is not a god. I read a poll yesterday that says something like 71% of dimokraps said that they will vote for Hilda even after she is indicted. I'm sure our resident loyal dimokrap will fall in line with the masses of ignorant idiots. For our doubters, see link below:

Clinton's email issues don't strike me as damning as some folks want it to be. Previous government officials & Sec. of State used similar systems, forgoing putting 100% of their correspondance on .gov servers, and it seems to be she failed to keep pace with 'state of the art' security procedures as cyber experts would have recommended. However, there is no indication that she revealed (intentionally or otherwise) state secrets. It was her mistake, and she has said so. After lengthy investigation, nothing indicates that what she did caused a national security catastrophe... so let's stop suggesting that it did.
I really don't think that anything put into internet email has been private, secure and unavailable to someone who wants to get into them. Edward Snowden's revelations should be proof of that. So my opinion is that anything transmitted in this way has always been open to view by people with the knowledge and determination to crack it. The same would have to be said for Government servers. Does anyone think that security firewalls have been 100% secure when the top hackers from every country in the world make it their business every day to penetrate them?
Surely someone with more knowledge about electronic communications will have more informed opinions, but I just think it is foolish to expect that the Sec. of State's emails haven't been read by "others" for a long time now.
A private email server and an attack on a US embassy post in Bengazi.... neither of these things are rising to the level of criminal activity that Clinton opponents wish. There is nothing there, except for exaggerated anti-Clinton propaganda.

Your repeated copy and paste krap is getting very tiring. Address the SBU issue. Or address the poll that shows that 71% of dimokraps are slaves to Hilda....even criminal Hilda.

Copper I am a little disappointed that you seem to have become a Clinton apologist. Seems in your book anything on HRC transgressions is overblown yet anything on Trump engenders a Chicken Little response from you. HRC in my opinion is rotten to the core. Trump is not your poster boy politician but he senses what the people of the country want. Frankly a whole bunch of us are sick and tired of the Hillaries, The Mitch McConnells and the Harry Reids, and DT offers a respite from the sleaze.

I can see James Carville at the white board now, writing "It's the Alternative, Stupid"
|
"Sensitive but unclassified" is a legitimate marking, but it is not a classification. I agree it is highly unlikely that she never received classified email. I still have never heard the details about the documents that everyone seems to think were classified but had the markings removed. Just to be fair, this stuff could have been For Official Use Only, which again is a marking, but not a classification.
I'm not defending Hilary at all, but I really would like to know much more about these documents before she is tried and jailed. But I still don't want her to be President. I'm less bothered by the things we know she did, than all the things she probably did and no one knows about it yet.
I actually saw an interview with some people that paid and went to Trump University and said that they thought what they learned was worth the money. He lent his brand and if those running the show did not provide what was promised, than why is that Trumps fault? I wonder if everyone who attends a university thinks they got their money's worth? And it seems like the average tuition for a private institution runs about $35,000.
As far as his "network" for urine analysis to recommend vitamins and minerals - have you checked out the internet lately? Even the former Surgeon General has one of these sights. The vitamin and mineral business is one of the most profitable, and has more scammers in it than possibly any other too.
I think Hodja nailed it = so many of us are tired of the same old/same old in Washington, we're willing to take a chance on Trump.

Clinton apologist? Not sure about that, I just haven't heard good solid cases made about why she should be called crooked. From my POV, she has been in that political arena for her whole life... accumulating a long record of things she has been associated with. I was not in favor of invading Iraq but she was. Turned out it was a huge mistake, but frankly the whole country was spoiling for that misbegotten fight after 9/11... She has those high unlikeablity ratings for reasons that may have to do with her personal style, perhaps also the fact that she has been a woman in a very male-dominated political theatre....I don't know exactly why people dislike her so much except that she probably epitomizes liberal Democratic positions to a large segment of the country that is frightened of that agenda.
Right now, what I am hearing you say is that everyone should be so fed up & frustrated with the direction of the country that you would be willing to elect anybody just to create the chaos needed for a radical change in our society. The fact that Trump promises to be an aggressive and largely unpredictable President is apparently what a lot of people think would be a good idea. This narrative assumes that he will do no harm, and the chaos he creates will eventually create a more orderly and rational government. In a way, it assumes a belief that nothing can go really wrong with someone like Trump at the helm, and that chaos will lead to order. I didn't think Conservatives like the idea of chaos & disorder. And I've never known a Conservative argue that risky societal disruptions were good policy...until now. Used to be, only the wild-eyed leftists called for The Revolution. It's odd that conservatives have changed so much.
On a foreign policy side, Trump's mis-steps based on his poor use of facts and impulsive, even hostile, reactions should be something we all see as really dangerous. On the domestic side, his policy proposals to deport 11 million people will require a huge outlay of law enforcement costs and an internment camp system that will dwarf the internment of Japanese Americans in the 1940's. He will also attack Muslims by banning entry, perhaps setting up registries of US Muslims. That kind of race or religion based punative action will surely cause a huge counter-action on behalf of minority people and their sympathizers...many of whom will rightly see this as an attack on religious freedom and pure government sponsored racism.
Chicken little? Does everyone here think that the world is such a safe and predictable place.......with peace so firmly entrenched in the hearts & minds of men the world over... brotherly love reigning over all.... that we can confidently take our chances with a reincarnated PT Barnum? Isn't that the bet you are asking everyone to take with Trump?
|
Trump never said that he would ban all Muslims from the country. What he said, in the context of Syrian refugees, is that there should be a moritorium placed on Muslim immigrants, until such time we can put in place a system that we can figure out who these people are. This was right after the shootings in California by a Muslim and his Pakistani wife -who we later found out had been radicalized while she was still in Pakistan.
As far as deporting Mexicans and other illegal immigrants, he said that they would be deported and that some quantity of them could come back through a legal process. We do have a legal immigration process in the U.S. But it is not as convenient as coming across the border at will, or hiring a coyote to bring you across illegally. I'm not sure why people do not think this is a good idea. And I am also not in favor of pregnant Mexican women coming across the border illegally to have their child in the U.S. so they will be a citizen.
People come here on all kinds of visas, and there is no system in place to track where they are if they stay after their visa expires. And that is not just Muslims or Mexicans. And that doesn't seem too smart to me.
I was living in Northern VA during the building boom, when thousands of illegals came to work in the building trade. They were mostly Central Americans who worked under the table, did not pay taxes on their earnings and wired the money they made here back to wherever they came from. They brought with them gang warfare, including the extremely violent El Salvadorian MS-13. They were not interested in becoming legal. As soon as the building boon collapsed, they put a key in their rental and walked away, and to be frank, a lot of homeowners were glad they did. Our county Supervisor proposed and was able to put in place a law that the police should check for their green card whenever they were stopped for a violation or arrested for a crime. The Central Americans conducted a rally outside our county building, but you didn't see any non-hispanics there. But you know what happened? They were held and turned over to ICE, who promptly released them because ICE did not have enough personnel to handle the work load. Here in AL, I don't see it as big a problem as it is in other areas. My sister lived 20 miles from the Mexican border in AZ. She said they came across the desert, leaving trash all over the place, sometimes bodies, and you learn pretty quickly to take a gun with you if you go hiking, because they were known to wait in the rocks and would rob hikers. So I am not a sympathizer. If they want to come here, let them come legally - and they can still build their busineses and raise their families. But they will do it legally.

You are minimizing and softening the crux of what he said.
Banning all Muslims from entering the US extends well beyond Syrians & Iraqi refugees... and would require a religious screening test at each border crossing. He also did say he would deport some 11 million Illegals, a process that would require rounding up, processing and housing about the same number of people as currently live in New York City. Dislocating those people, sending them out of country and then letting them apply to return will cause a disruption of the economy on the order of a 2% drop in GNP according to even conservative think tanks.
I recently had my own experience with Central Americans when I hired a crew of 4 Salvadorans to paint my house... I spent several days with them. We talked extensively about their country & decision to come to the US. Salvador has become a war zone, and they were terrified to live there. It was necessary to pay bribes just to walk safely thru town to whatever work they could fine. Hernando told me about stepping over bodies in the streets, and the sound of gun fire at night around his home. I was sympathetic to them, they clearly were fleeing violence and a collapsed country. We talked about applications for citizenship, and here is the catch: if you apply for citizenship, you must return to your home country and make reapplication from there. That means if you have found a job, you must leave it, and find a way to (again) pay for the return trip. The waiting period is indeterminate, and most of them felt it was a better idea to stay here as long as they could since they did not think they could make it back from Salvador a second time.
Frankly, we do need to clean up the immigration system... I'm all for that. This also means some limits on immigration. But it is not wise to uproot and deport millions of people who are already here because of the vast complications (both legal, social, and economic) that this would require. Obama has been proposeing a pathway to citizenship, plus some actions that would minimize the burden on ICE by reducing the number of people they would be chasing. That strategy makes more sense to me than internment camps and sweeps thru immigrant neighborhoods, the only way Trump's fantasy can be implimented.

"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on," a campaign press release said.
Trump, who has previously called for surveillance against mosques and said he was open to establishing a database for all Muslims living in the U.S., made his latest controversial call in a news release. His message comes in the wake of a deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, by suspected ISIS sympathizers and the day after President Barack Obama asked the country not to "turn against one another" out of fear.

Let's speak some truth here. The only reason dimokraps want illegals in the country is so one day, some way, they may be able to vote for your dimokraps. All this other stuff about giving a hoot about illegals is just cover for the real reason....dimokrap votes. Look at what the dimokrap has managed to do with the blacks....free stuff till they vote for you. That's it...period.

A colleague spent the Memorial Day weekend in Chicago with his grandparents. He was aghast at the changes since he was there last. Gunfire at all times of day. Advised to not leave the house after noon, else get shot, "kids with no fear of getting caught". .380 on the dining room table, 12gauge by the front door, .45 at the bedside. In the house they slaved so hard to pay off that ended up being in the wrong neighborhood.
And Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Take guns away from law abiding citizens and Chicago becomes the USA.
|
Most of the Central American countries are just as you described. There is a lot of violence. There was a lot of violence when I was there in the midst of the war in El Salavdor, the war in Nicaragua, the violence in Honduas. If you have never heard of the gangs that they bring with them when they come to the U.S., google MS-13 and go from there. They took over the town of Manassas Park in NoVA, and the violence skyrocketed - including murders. So your guys are fleeing the very violence that has existed in these countries for years. Did you check to see if they are illegals, are they working under the table and not paying taxes? I have no doubt that everything they make is likely going back to that violent country that they are so anxious to flee from. I'm sorry, but I am a bit jaded when it comes to the comments that if they go back to their country they may not make it back out. I've heard that a few too many times and what it really means if that "I don't want to go back there. I like the money I make in the U.S. that I send back home." I could write pages and pages here about Central American culture, their history of war, and their attitudes towards anyone that wants to help them. They do not want to help themselves. Do some googling and see if you don't come away with a different picture.
And I have not softened Trumps comments. I remember when he said it. But the opposition has repeated it so many times in error, they have now convinced themselves that he said something completely different. Now regarding his commets about the judge that is involved with his Trump University law suits - certainly unwise for a political candidate, but it might be entirely true.....
|
Heard that they had 69 murders in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend. Taking guns away from law abiding citizens makes no sense, because the criminals generally don't go into a gun store and get a background check. They buy their guns off the streets.
|
I think a lot of people felt just like Trump in the wake of the San Beradino massacre. I know I felt like that after 9/11. Follow the violence Copperline.
