Now that just can't be true. Obammy told us we were going to save $2500 dollars each every year. You should stop spreading Trump/Republican propaganda.

I have a good friend, local business owner, who is considering just going uninsured and risking the fines because it has gotten to be an economic hardship and the deductibles are so high, 8k, as to be about useless except in catastrophic care. The first year I knew him in 1990 he had a horrible auto accident in which his passenger died and he spent weeks in the hospital with a closed head injury. He was uninsured at that time and still pays on that bill monthly last I ask him about it a few years ago.

1/ Did you get your coverage from an ACA Marketplace provider, directly from the insurance company or from an insurance company through an employer?
2/ Did you have insurance before ACA and if so, with whom?
3/ If you did get your current coverage from from an ACA marketplace, where would you get insurance if ACA did not exist and what would it cost?
3/ If Trump is elected and he and his congressional allies manage to do away with the ACA, do you have any recommendation for the 20 to 25 million who will lose their insurance?

That sounds pretty bad. May I ask if you have gone to the government website and actually looked at ACA policies or is this one from your employer?

What's wrong....you just can't believe the stupidity of o-BAMMIE'S boys can you. Archidiot no one has claimed 25 million in o-BAMMIEcare. It's less than 15M and that includes the millions stuffed in Medicaid.

Why don't you go to o-BAMMIECare website and check it out. Check out the $6,000 (2016) deductible.

The ACA has helped a great number of people in our country. It was an incomplete first step but it was all the administration could get through a Congress that was dead set to stand in the way of any Obama plan. They are still fighting the enevitable. As long as there is control by the private insurance companies, they will continue to squeeze profit wherever they can. That's what Bill Clintonwas trying to get across yesterday. The plan needs tweaking and cooperation from the intransigent Republicans in Congress. As a physician let me just say, the system is broken. We will have a National health insurance sooner or later.

These discussions would be a lot more interesting without a mentally challenged and borderline illiterate like Wix. I don't have a problem with people who are a little slow, it's just that he is so proud of it (and clearly racist).

Hey idiot, you are wrong...as of March 2016 17.6 million adults had gotten insurance through ACA (private insurance + Medicaid expansion) and 6.1 million over 21 but under 26 year old youths and younger adults were insured under their parents insurance. Now, the way I was taught to add that comes up to 23.7 million. More have been added since March so 25 million is probably conservative. Now, idiot, let's just pretend my figures are wrong and yours are right...what do you recommend YOUR 15 million do if they lose their insurance? Keep shoveling Wixie, keep shoveling!

Win the prize and tell us exactly how many are insured by Medicaid. I've looked thru all the propaganda for the last two years and I don't think the dimokraps will break out the number. Medicaid is a gubment free welfare program, not obammiecare.

Actually, no, Harry. I'd be interested in his answer... and if we could... to help him find a policy that better suits his needs. Nobody is arguing the situation is perfect, I think people forget how imperfect the system was before it was tweeked by the ACA. Premiums and deductibles have been going up, and this has been a problem for decades.
Would you also recommend someone NOT look at the online exchanges for coverages if their employer's coverage changed?

1/ Did you get your coverage from an ACA Marketplace provider, directly from the insurance company or from an insurance company through an employer?
From the same insurance company my employer has used for several years. I compared, and it is cheaper than the ACA Marketplace provider or directlyfrom the insurance company.
2/ Did you have insurance before ACA and if so, with whom?
I did have insurance before ACA. Who it was should not matter............
3/ If you did get your current coverage from from an ACA marketplace, where would you get insurance if ACA did not exist and what would it cost?
N/A
4/ If Trump is elected and he and his congressional allies manage to do away with the ACA, do you have any recommendation for the 20 to 25 million who will lose their insurance?
First, the number is closer to 16 million by the government's ACA website. Second, the 16 million is approximately 5% of the US population. Third, why should the other 95% of the population be penalized to provide healthcare for 5%? Fourth, ACA has so many other bogus crap in it that drives the cost up. Finally, ACA should be replaced with something that makes more sense. For example, if I did not have coverage, there would be a $2000 fine. That amount is much lower than all of my premiums for the year; so the fine is not a deterrent.

RHH, it was the dems that rammed ACA down everyone's throats. You might want to go back and check the number of dems in congress at the time. The dems controlled everything; don't you remember Pelosi being on the news shows day and night during that period of time.....

Are yo to lazy to look for facts or do you just prefer ignorance? The EXPANSION of Medicare in the 30 or so states that actually care about their citizens (AL and GA not included of course) IS part of Obamacare!! BTW, even in the Neandrthal states such as GA and AL the number of people on Medicaid has gone up because the publicity on the ACA caused people who thought they would not qualify to check into Medicaid and find out that they in fact did qualify for coverage. They are not included in the 25 million. Keep shoveling Wixie, keep shoveling!!
