shows an unexpectedly large drop of 42,000 (11%) in new unemployment insurance filings, yet not one word from the usual Obama blamers on our friendly little forum. Does anybody think MM and WW among others could have been struck dumb if the report had shown a 42,000 increase? I mean really...think about it for a change...what is the real agenda of our Tea Party brethren? Are they trying to save America or destroy the man we the people elected president? I ask again, where was your forum posts of outrage in late 2008 when a man with an R after his name sat in the Oval Office, unemployment insurance claims were consistently over 800,000 / week and net job growth ran at negative 800,000 / month for month after month?
Now, go ahead ignore the question by changing the subject to the Atlanta School scandal, or how Obama always blames Bush, or how Obama is going to take your guns, etc etc ad nauseum . I don't really expect an answer...to quote MM "you are always predictable".

Nothing much to say when the news is bad but glad to show up with a glimmer of positive news. Tell me Archie, how does a drop in new claims help the 600,000 last month that gave up ever finding a jobl?!?!?!? Why dont you answer that question, huh???? How does it help matters when 350,000 people lose their job while 90,000 newjobs are created!??!?!? Are you so incapable of critical thought that simple math is too much for you to absorb and comprehend?
Here we go folks.....the good news in the war is that last month 380,000 soldiers were killed but only 350,000 were killed this month. Time to celebrate!!!! Woooooohhooooooooo!!!!!!! Life is good and it's time to pop the champagne corks!!!! And none of that negativity about 350,000 soldiers being killed.......that's 30,000 less than last month. You guys and your cup being half full.....
Honestly Archie, can't you see how pathetic those numbers are four years into a so-called recovery?!?!? I know.....it's too early to tell........the affirmative action president needs more time cause he's just a black man and we can't expect so much out of him. No wonder he doesn't think any of us built what we have.........that's been his life experience and you guilty while liberals are the primary enablers of his pathos. Crowing about numbers that are terrible, but somehow better than projected, is likewise pathetic. Get with reality Archie, we are supposed to be in a recovery!!!!!! We are not in a recession. This isn't that mentally challenging but for some reason you don't seem to know the difference.

There were multiple questions. Archie, my point is that you are inanely fixated on a drop in claims as if the actual number of claims is meaningless. The reason we don't post about an unexpected drop is because each and every month, month in and month out, year after year, the number is "unexpected" and different than what the so-called "experts" expected. That to me gets a little old and a little redundant and hardly worthy of comment. It would be like the weatherman expected a high of 35 degrees but it was 25 degrees. You would focus on the fact that it was 10 degrees colder than the expert expected. My focus would be on the fact that it was below freezing and the roads might be icy.
The cold, hard reality which you cannot seen to grasp is that whether it has gone down or up 42,000, the number of jobless claims is pathetically high, especially since we are supposed to be four years into a recovery. And I have already answered your comment about the job losses during the recession on two occasions. I won't repeat myself. Your willingness to compare Obama's economic performance in a recovery to the results during a recession is yet another example of lower standards for the affirmative action president by a guilty while liberal suffering from the soft bigotry of low expectations for the black guy. As for me, I hold him to the standard of performance of other presidents during an economic recovery and using that criteria he is an abject, miserable failure. But then again, I could care less about the color of his skin and hold him to the same standards as his predecessors.
Why don't you? Why are you afraid to answer that question? I've answered yours multiple times........the truth is too painful to acknowledge?????

Now that was a great retort. I can assure you Archie would have been rearranging the deck chairs and enjoying the band as the Titanic went down. And if Obama were the captain he would certainly not hold him to account for running into the iceberg.....in fact, he would blame Bush for that iceberg.........he would say, "Did you notice that iceberg was 20% smaller than the other icebergs around it?" Or maybe, "That iceberg was not where experts expected it to be which is really the issue here." What he thinks is important and good news is amazing in the midst of this so-called recovery.
Totally mystifying to me and Archie refuses to answer why he has such low standards of performance for our first black President. I have my suspicions but I welcome his explanation........

Archie, be intellectually honest. If you look at the following data, unemploymnent insurance filings, sure for the week of April 6, it went down. But that was only a one time correction for the increase of 47K the previous two weeks. If you can look at the following data and be excited for the one time improvement , be my quest. The difference from a year ago is a paltry 22k. How can you rejoice in this?

Essentially, 7 less unemployment insurance filings per county in the lower 48, Alaska and Hawaii than 1 year ago. And this after 5 years in office and unprecedented trillions of national debt and the debt of Obamacare staring at you in the rearview mirrow.....I am clicking my heels Archie.

That is apparently all that matters to the left. They also struggle with the math that it is not good news when 300K+ people lose their jobs and 100K+/- jobs are created and you need to 175K+ just to keep up with population growth.

Archie, do you really want to compare the totality of Bush's record against Obama's? I would be happy to do that because you will see how much worse Obama has been. Just one example, Bush generated $5 trillion of new debt in 8 years, Obama is on track to generate $10 trillion and leave us with tens of trillions in long-term entitlement obligations that never existed before. I have already shown you factually what Obama has done to devastate the labor participation rate in four short years versus Bush's mediocrity during his tenure. I could go on and on but for some reason what you want to do is compare the best Obama has done with the worst of Bush's tenure. Not exactly intellectually honest, right?
And by the way, CDR provided actual numbers from 2008 that refuted your 800,000 claim. Any response? It seems to me looking at those numbers in the midst of a recession and comparing to Obama's numbers after four years into a so-called recovery that Obama is looking pretty bad........
