  Could this be true?

After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, they could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California to finish what they started.

The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River .

Remember, we had a 2 million man army and war ships…...

All fighting the Germans.

So, why did they not invade?

After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question.

Their answer…...

They know that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them..
The world's largest army.... America 's hunters! I had never thought about this....
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin ..

Allow me to restate that number. Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world. More men under arms than in Iran ..
more than in France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters All of whom have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those   four states   alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.

That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
Food for thought when next we consider gun control.

Hey Hobbie Horse, while I support the 2nd amendment and own a rifle just who do you think is going to invade us? By the way is the potato harvest completed for the year in Idaho? Ate one tonight and they are the best.

Nobody - they know that not only would they be fighting the US military, they would be fighting the entire US population.  Is that so hard to understand?  Would you want to change it?

"That is food for thought it the next presidential election."  It sure sounds to me that if this is an issue for you during the next election that you fear an invasion. You guys remind me of Chicken Little.............. Who are you supporting this week???????

GF, you only mention foreign enemies and not domestic ones. As an apparent fan of the 2nd Amendment I would have thought you would know that the Founders were concerned not just about outside threats but a much more likely threat.....a tyrannical government. And they recognized that the only way to prevent that tyranny is through a well armed populace. Has worked so far but the libtards are always looking for an excuse to chip it away. And when they succeed in isolated locales all they get is more violence and increases in violent crimes. As for me, I am not worried about them banning guns as that is a recipe for electoral disaster everywhere except San Fransissy and DC. But I do worry about ammunition. That's why I am on a regular program to stock up. And considering our current administration was so influenced by the likes of Bill Ayers and Saul Alinsky, not to mention their vocal support of all the criminals at the occupy rats nests, it seems to me a prudent step to prepare. Of course, you being a liberal if they wanted to take your gun or ammo you would not only rush to be first in line but would probably thank them for "protecting" you....... tsk...tsk.....

Beware of the "backdoor" restrictions also - "we believe in the Second Amendment, but NEED to regulate ammunition and components". I have reloaded since the late '70's, and have watched the "commmon sense regulations" being floated (and to date, for the most part sunk). Things like registered bullets (serial numbered) and powders with taggants to allow tracing back to the original retail purchaser. Make the ammunition too expensive (numbered bullets), or very short shelf life (the proposed taggants), and our leaders can "support" the Second, but effectively disarm us. Keep food, water, guns and ammunition - or - get in the Government assistance line - your choice...

Being a thinking libtard, in addition to  food, water, guns and ammunition, we have an ample supply of soap and toilet paper. Actually, we have enuf toilet paper to last through a lengthy invasion.

Excellent point - we too store rump ribbon and paper towels in the storm room. Also keep hand tools, ziplock bags, coffee filters, water filters and purification tabs, first aid supplies, a bottle of rum and two of grain alcohol.... ;-)
