Not sure how many will know where I am taling about but the area just across the dam on the Talldega side where families would picnic and fish that was wiped out by the tornado in April. Someone has funded a parking area and 3 gazebos and a small fishing dock and also sodded the entire area. If you know where I am talking about before the tornado there were shade trees and a nice area for families to go and fish and stay but after the tornados all of the shade trees were taken and there was no shade at all. from the water this is where the slolum(sp) course is by the dam. If anyone knows who funded this please let us know I would like to spread the word as Thanks!!!

Are you talking about Neely Henry Dam??   There is a park on Hwy 77 named Hart's Landing.  Close to the dam and the railroad tresle .

No, the Logan Martin Dam on LM on the Talladega Side...... Before April there were large shade trees and a few picnic tables but the tornado that came through on April 27th wiped out every tree in that area and left the area completely exposed to the sun. Now there is a parking pad, sodded grass area, 4 or so gazebos, a small fishing dock and looks very nice. If you know where constelation drive and the dam road meet...or where the slolum ski course is by the dam...... that is where it is

It looks nice there now, I would guess APCO owns that land
