The number of waterfront sales (defined as homes, condos, townhomes, and lots), for the 12 months ending August 1, 2007, were about 35% less than the 12 months ending August 1, 2006. See the below link.
I will run the numbers again and make it through Sept 15 to see if it makes any difference. We did have a little flurry of activity a couple of weeks ago. It prob will not make a difference in the big picture but I will see.
While you're at it, go to my home page and scroll down unti you see the "Ridge Update" post with all of the pictures, then click "Continue" at the bottom of that particular post. It will take you to a very interesting comment from Steve Arnberg, broker of Russell Lands, who evidently also thinks that in general sellers are asking too much right now.
