The number of waterfront sales (defined as homes, condos, townhomes, and lots), for the 12 months ending August 1, 2007, were about 35% less than the 12 months ending August 1, 2006. See the below link.
I will run the numbers again and make it through Sept 15 to see if it makes any difference. We did have a little flurry of activity a couple of weeks ago. It prob will not make a difference in the big picture but I will see.

It will take you to a very interesting comment from Steve Arnberg, broker of Russell Lands, who evidently also thinks that in general sellers are asking too much right now.
