Subject:	Biden trying to scare the Seniors

Biden went to Florida yesterday to try to scare Seniors into voting for him, by telling them that Republicans will take away their Social Securit and Medicare.  This is in direct conflict with what Republicans have already said - that it is off the table.  

When you think about it logically, what politician in their right mind would touch either program?  So many seniors are dependent upon social security as their sole funding stream, because they could not or did not save money for retirement.  And so many seniors only have Medicare for their health insurance.  So according to Biden, they would cut all that and leave people out in the streets.  Just more lies by Biden.  That's his tactic - scare people into submission.  

If somehow we can keep Trump from running again, the Republicans have a good shot at winning the next election and inject some sanity back into goverment, as well as fiscal responsibility.

When your policies are an absolute disaster for the country then they always go back to the old playbook.  Scare seniors by lying about social security.  Scare people of color by lying about racsim and white privilege.  Fear is a strong motivator and Democrats know it well.  They see seniors struggling with the losses in their retirement accounts and the cost of inflation so instead of addressing those issues they go with fear....because it's easy and usually works.

Rick Scott as Chair of the Republican Senate reelection committee included voting on continuing all Government programs every 5 years. He should have stated except Medicare and SS. The Right says oh no...Medicare and SS is safe. He made a massive tactical error and the Right is paying for it. As the party in control...it would be nice if they used the same energy to fix the long term problems witn Medicare and SS  that they are investigating Hunter and the balloon.

It is so much easier on the outside bit*hing than having  to actually act on behalf of the country. Playing Gotcha Politics satisfies Green and Gaetz and their supporters.

Between 15 votes for McCarthy, election of Santos, and shouting liar during the State of The Union, the Right has become a group that is an example of what happens when incompetence gets control.

As to looking in the mirror, I am ashamed that the Democrats did nothing to shore up the programs. Now, the Right is in charge of the House. Is their response going to be . ...well you did nothing so why should we??? Or, are they the party of the people?

I actually voted for my Republican Congressman and receive emails from his office. I am going to send him an email on Medicare and SS.

First, the idea of sunsetting federal programs has been around for decades, including having been proposed by a certain Senator Joe Brandon Biden.  Everyone, including Brandon when he proposed it, knew that certain social programs would be exempt because they are political suicide.  I think its a great idea for Congress to have to go on record voting to keep every law on the books or letting some sunset.

Second, you have a crap load of nerve talking about gotcha politics when Democrats are doing exactly that by lying...yes, bald faced lying about Republicans using this concept because they want to get rid of social security and Medicare.   Pass the law and I can guarantee you none of them are demented enough to let either of them go away.  These programs are not what this law is intended to do...I know it, you know it, Republicans have said it in no uncertain terms and Biden included that bald faced lie along with the dozens of others he spews on a daily basis....which for some strange reason don't bother you as much as Trump's lies.  Hypocrisy much?

Third, you have even more nerve talking about Republicans needing to spend their effort on fixing these programs instead of the Hunter Biden investigation.  News flash for you sparky, Democrats controlled the WH, Senate and House for two years and did nothing and now you place all the blame on the other party that only holds a small majority in the House and can pass nothing without the Democrat Senate approval and even with that, Brandon could veto.

Fourth and finally, you are the biggest hypocrite on planet Earth chastising Republicans for their investigations given your four years of cheerleading Democrats doing exactly that and nothing else when Trump was President.  And lest you think this is an investigation of Hunter Biden you are being a bigger fool than usual.  No one cares about that crack addled pervert.  What they care about is whether his pay for play schemes selling access to his father to countries like China, Ukraine and who knows who else has compromised the person who is now President of the country and whether actual crimes were committed.  Not silly things like Trump was impeached for and quickly acquitted.  

Goofy, sometimes you leave me slack jawed and this is one of them.  All I can do is shake my head in wonder at the sight of your incoherence.

Goofy is such a wild eyed political hack that he approves of their lies.  The ironic thing is if Democrats really believed it was true they would pass such a bill in a heartbeat so they could watch the GOP lose the senior vote by letting SS and Medicare sunset.  But they know its a bald face lie, Biden being the biggest of the liars, and would rather try to scare seniors into voting for them.  And you know why?  Because it scares the heck out of them to have to vote again on unpopular laws every 7 years.

Back in 1975, then-Senator Joe Biden famously introduced a bill that called for the sunsetting of all federal programs, including Social Security and Medicare. His argument for ending — or at least revoting on — these government subsidy programs was that they were costing the government too much money and were busting the federal budget. Biden's proposed bill obviously never passed, though that didn't stop him from bringing up the issue again in the mid-1980s and again in 1995, when he lamented Congress's lack of action on his original proposal.
