Absolutely no mention of personal responsibillity on the part of the kids OR the parents but lays blame on the "weapons" that kids have access too. Disgusting.

You really do have to wonder about their parents. It is not that much different than those who stormed the Capitol using hockey sticks, flag poles, bear spray, and fire extinguishers as weapons. They beat up police and killed one. It was not the weapons but how they were raised. What did their parents teach them about respect for law and order? Shouting “Hang Mike Pence”…what did their parents teach them about respecting the Constitution? There has been no mention of personal responsibility.  No different than the WalMart killing except on a grander scale. A complete lack of parental responsibility. Disgusting.

Lets look at it logically - Smitty threatened you and me with violence, when you responded that you would protect yourself now he is bitching that you took his threat seriously and warned him if he came around he would get shot.

This sounds like the reason stand your ground and castle doctrine exists.  

And now he is upset that after he threatened you with harm, that you indicated you would protect yourself with a gun if he showed up to make good on his threat.

Said he was sorry for saying it, I still dont buy it since he is now acting like you threatened him to start with and was just the innocent bystander to your aggression.

Smitty - if it makes you feel better - thought you said you were sorry and would not be such a douche in the future.  I guess you forgot all about threatening Lifer first - like a typical lib you memory hole your own involvement and just want to scream he threatened me with a gun, after you challenged him to a fight to start with.  So, I stand by my lack of expections of your apology.

Edit - I did not threaten him with violence or a gun if he came by my house, that would be option 2 after the dog got through hugging him with her teeth.

Interesting how they blame the availability of the knives and not the kids themselves or their parents or the way that they were raised.  No mention that the girls actually stole the knives to do the crime.  

One time when I was a very young supervisor, I found out that two of my employees were cheating on overtime and I turned them in.  I heard through the grapevine that they intended to corner me in the ladies room and stab me early in the morning to get revenge.  So this isn't exactly a new way of dealing with problems.  It's just gotten more bold in thinking that they can do this in public with a lot of people around.  I'll bet if you interviewed the parents, they would tell you that they were "good" girls and would never do something like this - and find a way to blame the victim.

Just pointing out how stuipid it is that you said he said he was willing to use a gun, Had YOU not threatened him with violence he would not have needed to.  You are not the innocent here, and you complaining about his willingness to use a gun to protect himself from you who threatened him. That is like a robber bitching that the owner of a 7-11 shot him for holding up the shop.  I just an innocent criminal, I appologised - he didnt need to pull the magnum on me and cap my ass while i was trying to beat him up officer.....

Just making my point, since you have already made yours - since you also threatened me, I kind of take it personally, even with an apology you circling back to call out someone who is willing to use a gun to protect themselves from you of all people is about damn insane.  Hopefully my point is made. 

If someone showed up at your property to whip your a$$ - you just going to let them?  I do hope that you would invite them onto your property, and just let them - that would be funny as hell to watch.  Kind of doubt it since you have already shown your tendancy towards violence.

Too damn cold on the lake right now and do not drink and boat, when I drink it will be happily at home.

Precisely my thoughts when I read it.  SAd thing is these girls will never be properly punished.  They will go off to juvi till they turn 18 and then be given a clean slate to start their adult crimes, that they learn about in juvi.

Growing up in the south in the fifties, I remember the weapons of choice...anything sharp!!  Straight razors, butcher knives, switch blades and axes.  Gruesome, but very effective.  Genes survive for generations.
