We are in it, not on the verge. Question is how will we handle it? I will NEVER get on my knees before or bow to any man or group. Thats seems to be tthe goal of a lot of these folks. Gotta make whitey kneel before us. The peaceful protesters or just giving cover to the riotors. Time to start shooting some of the instagators.
I am upgrading my fortfolio to include more non-precious metals, you know, like brass and lead.

Thes are not protest. Theis is a long planned guerilla war designed to get rid of Trump. They were merely waiting for something to trigger the unleashing the dogs of war.

It has been said that it is better to die in your feet in a pile of brass than live on your knees!

That is an interesting question because we are certainly seeing some similarities with the many French revolutions. For those that think this is a good idea they need to read some history because they will realize that it didn't work out so well for those that fomented these uprisings. Once you loose the animal of revolution it is far too easy to become its next victim....which could be you.

Minneapolis city council is now about to vote to do away with the police dept., and install social workers to respond to 911 calls, etc. This is really how stupid the dimokraps have become, led by their ultra-liberal idiots. My prediction is that Minneapolis is about to become the next majority AA city in the US. Mass exodus of everyone not on welfare. GOOF, you live in the area of FL preferred by mild-western yankees.....better get ready for population explosion.
LA is cutting $150 Million from police budget with same plans.

The irony of this is that those they are claiming to care about will be most adversely impacted by this utter insanity. This is a classic example of what liberalism/progressiveism does to minorities under the blatantly false apprearance of "caring". The sad reality is the parasites will soon abandon their current host that they are destroying for another one that they will eventually also destroy....rinse and repeat.

I don't think so. All the lip service has been paid, big companies donated millions to Black Lives Matter and other civil rights groups and in the end nothing will change. The Reverend Al will show them how to shake down big companies for money with threats. Blacks are only 13% of the population of the country. If they ever got all the "equality" they demand, they would have no one to blame for their lack of accomplishment. Most of what they believe about their situation is a myth that they tell themselves to explain their situation.
As far as Minneapolis getting rid of their police force - that was just some idea floated by a bystander to a reporter. It's not going to happen.
Trump cannot use the U.S. military to protect him.

You really need to expand your reading Hound. Both Jerimiah Ellison (5th ward council member and son of AG Kieth Ellison and council president Lisa Bender have tweeted about this very thing saying they are going to dimantle it and not just glue it back together yada yada liberal nonsense and we will all ride unicorns to the 911 calls and spread love and kindness. PUKE.
How are those two "bystanders" making a flippant comment?
|
The bottom line is that they aren't going to do it anyway. My broker happens to live in the suburbs of Minneapolis. I was talking to him the other day and he said that the rioting was really limited to just one area and was not nearly what the media made it out to be. I would imagine that the Reverend AL and Benjamin Crump have these people all stirred up thinking they can make demands and the world is just going to fall over and grant them. There is a lot of old money in Minneapolis and St. Paul, and they will not allow the police Department to be disbanded because of one incident with a thug.

I have a good freind that lives in Minniapolis. I have been there. It is liberal heaven ovrrun with immigrants. Don't try to tell me whay your broker says. He is most likely a liberal winnie making excuses for his comrades. Hell he may be out there with them at night, you don't know.
Teh president of the councill has promised to "dismantle the police" and replace it with among other suggestions social workers. That will work out well.

Alas, if most of our mayors, governors and legislators had her wisdom and common sense, we would be in a much better spot right now.

Actually, my broker is probably more politically conservative than you are, so you shouldn't just make sweeping assumptions about people because of where they live. But yes they do have a lot of immigrants - Somoli mostly; and they have quite a few native Americans. I've been to Minneapolis as well a number of times. My uncle had a house in Lake of the Isles for a number of years, then moved out to Apple Valley when he retired - in fact, if I hadn't sold it, I would still have a house out there. He ran a businesss in down town Minneapolis for years.
But the point is this - the news media would have you believe that the entire city is being demolished by rioter and looters, but that wasn't quite the case. It's possible that they will disband the police department as several counselpeople are proposing, but I don't think so.

I saw this video the other day. She just wrote a book too. She's really just articulated what a lot of other black people believe - you know, the ones that don't live in the inner city, and actually have some education and a career. I thought she did a creditable job making her case, and I hope she isn't hurt or killed for saying it.

I went to school in the Twin Cities and lived there for almost 20 years. They used to be perhaps one of the nicest urban areas to live back then (80's-90's) with very low crime and a very high standard of living, but I have heard that things have changed significantly (for the worst) in the last decade or so. The area you mention (Lake of the Isles) along ewth Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet were some of the nicest areas anywhere and just a short jog from downtown. I am not sure they are as nice these days, however. If that's true, it would be a shame.

Yes, Lake of the Isles was beautiful. My uncle had a big old house there and it was so elegant. I know he enjoyed living there and he had a shop downtown. I really enjoyed the area and the poeple. So nice. I would have kept the house out there, but I knew I coudn't deal with those long, very cold winters. But I loved Minneapolis. But I haven't been there in the last decade.
