Hillary? Obama? Sanders? If you think they are worse than any of the Democrats stay at home and watch us go through another 4 or 8 years like the last 7. I would prefer the worst of them over the alternative.

Funny to hear Trump say he contributed to Clinton and Pelosi for favors. Then say Clinton attended his wedding. Guess he had to pay people to attend.

On one hand you have to admire him for his honesty about certain things and on the other hand you have to wonder if he believes in anything other than his own aggrandizement and enrichment. Will be interesting to see how his poll numbers come out over the next few weeks. He has tapped into the anxiety of conservatives and when you combine that with the wall to wall media coverage he takes a lot of O2 out of the room. But as he is compared and contrasted to the others side by side he starts to lose his luster. I just can't imagine he will be the nominee but if he gives the others the ability to speak the truth with courage then he will serve a useful purpose. If he goes third party he will show himself as a Clinton lap dog.
This is going to be interesting.

Didn't watch it, but understand that Carly Fiorino did extremely well in the afternoon. They had her on Morning Joe this morning and she made a lot of sense.
The ones that really stood out to me as idiots were Ben Carson, Huckabee and Cruz. I liked Kasich (governor) I probably didn't spell his name correctly. I thought he was well spoken.

I would like to know what led you to call Dr. Ben Carson an idiot. Have you read any of his three books that provide a wealth of information about him as a man, a doctor, and a human being who has a great understanding of what is wrong with our country today? One of his main points was about the role of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in conducting the use of our military, and how under the leadership of President Obama the world is facing a terrorist crisis unlike anything we have ever seen. Also, I thought the humor he brought to the end of the debate was refreshing. When asked of some of his accomplisments, he said he was the only doctor to separate Siamese twins, to operate on a baby inside the mother's womb, and to remove half of a patient's brain. But then he followed up by saying that when he looked around Washington maybe he wasn't the only doctor who had removed half a brain.

Megyn asked some pointed questions and followed them up that surprised me coming from FOX. Good job Megyn!
From the Washington Post:
There is no more galvanizing force against the political establishment today than Donald J. Trump. But the real-estate tycoon and (still-hard-to-believe) GOP front-runner has now galvanized the conservative base against a more unlikely foe: Fox News.
Since Thursday's debate ended at 11 p.m. Eastern time (and somewhat during it), Trump has been deeply critical of the moderators of the debate — and especially Megyn Kelly, who asked about past comments Trump made calling women ugly, "pigs" and the like.
But it wasn't just reserved to Trump. On social media, many conservatives expressed outrage at the tone of the questions. You can read more here.

Hound said she didn't watch, but somehow the idiocy of three participants stood out. That's a little hard to understand. However, she has expressed her disdain for all the candidates in previous posts.

I had to read it twice as I had the same thought. But, read it again. She did not watch the early debate.

I was most impressed by John Kasich. But, if I was impressed I have to assume the far right was not.

I didn't watch either but for quite sometime I have been favorably impressed with Kasich's common sense approach to things. If I were to choose today he would be very close to the top of my list, if not on top.
OMG, twice in one day? And on the same thread? I need a shot or two of Bombay Sapphire....

I thought Kasich did well and made a good case for being considered. I actually liked most of them more than our last two nominees (McCain and Romney). I don't believe Trump is a conservative and won't vote for him. Same with Christie. Otherwise the field is wide open for me right now. I hope Carly Fiorina makes it to the big stage on the next debate. I want to see her directly contrasted to the others.
And all this whining about The debate moderators cracks me up. Do they think it's going to get easier? Do they think during the general that they aren't going to get tough questions, gotcha questions and incredibly slanted questions? If they can't take it now they should get out because it's gonna be way worse. After they ask Hillary tough questions like, "How hard is it being a grandmother while running for president so you can save the country?", they will then be asked some loaded question meant to make them look bad. Stop whining and wishing the media will treat them fairly. Won't happen.
Meanwhile on the Demcrat side we have a dishonest, potential criminal and a few wanna be's. Will be interesting to see if Biden gets in and if Obama gets his revenge for Slick Willie calling him a house boy back in 2008 by having DOJ indict Hillary. That would be so ironic given her role on the Watergate committee before she was fired for misconduct.

I'm actually convinced that there are a couple of viable candidates to watch. I do not like Hilary - never have going back to her time was First Lady, and while I like Biden, I don't think he would make a good President.
