Oskars on 8/23/14 . . . . . arrived at 8pm.  Waited and watched as many subsequent arrivals where seated before us.  Parties of 5 . . . . parties of 6 . . . . . . (we were a party of 3) . . . . . and there where MANY clean and available tables.   We had to complain to a manager in order to get seated.

All 3 of our meals were terrible.  Salad lettuce was brown, ribs where tough, fried oysters where gross, shrimp was mushy. . . . . never going back !!!   The servers were nice an polite though.

Chuck on 8/24/14 . . . . . Wonderful and delicious pizza.  We ordered the Hawaiian.  Beware of all the FLIES !!! . . . . open garbage cans everywhere.   The flies were abundant and very aggressive.   If you left your PIZZA BOX open, FLIES would attach your pizza.  Can't something be done here ??  (I'll chip in for garbage can lids and fly traps !! )

We went to Oskars two weeks ago and it was excellent as always.

Same here.  Went last Tuesday with some friends and everything was excellent as usual.

I have eaten at Oskar's "more times than I can count" over a many year period and have never experienced your situation.  I have always found food to be good.  Hope you told Oskar or her brother-in-law in the kitchen, they are good people and would want you to enjoy while there.

I don't frequent Chuck's very often, but do agree with you about flies and yellow jackets.

Both establishments are gifts from God.  They probably also make meeting God happen sooner.  Love them both!

Ditto on Oskar's. I have eaten there for years in all conditions  - during the week - on weekends - lunch - dinner. I have had a couple of slow waitresses but never a bad experience like that. IMO it's one of the, if not the, most consistent spots on the lake for food quality and service. 

Chuck's - I just expect to take a while. I don't get in a hurry if I am going there.

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't think it was possible to get a bad meal at oskars. It is our go to place when we don't want to cook.
