INVESTING AMERICA IN A SINKING SHIP

“Senate Minority Leader Mitch
McConnell (R-Ky.) on Wednesday downplayed the need to defund ObamaCare this
week, and said the law would likely sink under its own weight as the realities
of the law become more clear.”
[The Hill, 25SEP13]
Let me rephrase that: “If we
don’t stop ObamaCare now, it will eventually fail when Americans realize it is
gouging them financially… and then go through the tedious political
process to repeal it.”
This means that
billion$ of dollars will be extracted from American citizens through taxes and
overcharges… which, when ObamaCare fails… will not be refunded to them. All
federal and state monies, accumulated from extra taxes will have disappeared
into the failed bureaucracy.
All those who lost
their jobs will be immediately rehired. Doctors who retired, and private
practices which closed their doors, will return. Rationing of health care will
be repealed along with the law.
Am I missing something here?

Maj,
I don't think you are missing a thing. However, you have expressed, in the nicest way possible, "the present leaders in our country are nothing but a bunch of inept, liars, cheats, and thieves."

Mitch McConnell is an idiot. Once coverage is in force, no one is going to defund it for the millions who will be covered. I am surprised that a person of your intelligence would believe him hook, line, and sinker.
Hey Maj, which government provides you with health insurance for you and your wife?

He earned whatever benefits he recieves by fighting for our rights to be here typing insults. No patriots resent vets benefits, just beauracrats that rode a desk for 20 years and welfare brood mares who have babies then turn them over to government to raise but still get bigger Checks every time they download a new trycicle motor.

“Hey Maj, which government provides you with
health insurance for you and your wife?” [GF, 26SEP13]
The same government that drafted me in
1968… the same government that trained me to fire an M-14, M-16, M-79 (never
trained on an M-203), M-60, 50 cal, LAW, and Dragon, and M-4, M1911A1, and M-9…
the same government issued me fatigues… then BDUs… and then ACUs. Fishy, it is
the same government that issued me a steel-pot and then traded it for a Kevlar…
and in 2006, body armor.
GF, it is the same government to whom I
wrote a blank check with my name on the amount line.
What if they had cashed it?

- I have been away from home and avoided wireless. I served in the Coast Guard. I have no problem with any vet who receives health insurance from the same government which provides seniors health innsurance and will now assist those unable to obtain health insuramce with Obamacare. I would argue that anyone who served in a war zone should receive lifetime health benefits

“The problems with the
health law are invariably described by the president and his allies as ‘glitches,’
or harmless technical snafus that no one should worry about. But the law
suffers from basic design flaws beyond the question of whether the Obama
administration can get its software to work. It depends on young, healthy
people buying insurance even as it reduces their incentive to do so; it
encourages employers to dump workers off their current insurance; it suppresses
full-time work, through the employer mandate; in 10 years, the law still leaves
30 million people uninsured.”
[Rich Lowry, NYP, 30SEP13]
