Subject:   Anyone want to go Wakeboarding?
Date:   3/15/2013 11:19:50 AM

I am on the Real Island end of the lake and I am looking for someone who is a good wakeboarder, (not Pro) either with or without a boat. I recently bought an older MasterCraft PS 205 and would like to start trying inverts as well as some other more advanced stuff. I have looked at several videos and have considered lessons and I may still do that as well. I am only a recreational wakeboarder and have gotten a little older and not as willing to just go out and try things like I used to do. I find that falling hurts much longer than it used to. However, it is also nice to have an extra person that knows how to drive a boat.

I will be up there most weekends during the summer. Please let me know if you would be interested as I always like getting to know new people on the lake.

Good luck! Don.t hurt yourself.  I do have a suggestion.  From Real Island Marina, head east about 1/2 mile, on the north side there are several nice, large, quiet, calm sloughs for you to hone your skills.  Your neighbors will love you for it.

We live close to Real Island and I wouldn't mind driving you on occasion (and I may even take a pull now and then), but no inverts are left in my bag of tricks.....no pain is a gain for me, and wakesurfing is more my speed these days.

go ahead and get a lesson. Even one would help exponentially. It really helped my kids and i am going to get one for myself this summer.

Well, I really wouldn't mind wakesurfing either, although I do not have a surf board. I have only done it once and had to use the rope, but that would be a great low impact sport to learn.

I sent you an email through the link on this site. I still have plenty of equipment in the way of wake boards and wake surf boards, but I sold my wake boat about 2 years ago (although I'm looking at a used one I may buy next week).

McGill, if you get the bug again you need to think about my boat again. That boat makes huge waves.

Looking for a wakeboard boat with the best wake in the industry. Mine is listed in the classified section 04 Centurion.

It's a 20 ft Correct Craft Southwind it has a deep hull which makes a huge wake.

That sounds good. If you decide not to get another boat, I may be interested in some of your board stuff. I saw the email, but can't figure out how to respond to it.

One of the oldies. I have a MasterCraft Prostar 205 which puts out a decent for a direct drive.

Thanks George. I am very familiar with those areas. One even has a slalom course. I have a couple around me that are pretty good as well with very few houses and minimal interruption.

First, I am super psyched about summer on the lake.  I have wakeboarding boat, but none of my friends wakeboard.  I have considered renting my boat to passengers for wakeboarding, cruising, or other.  Whether it be on Martin, Jordan, or the Al. river.  I have only tried to wakeboard twice.  I am content with pulling and watching.  It gives me an opportunity to enjoy my boat on the lake and help others wanting to board.

Anyone please contact me if you may be interested at BoardNBama@gmail.com
