The GOP....
It is the party that thinks it is a full blown constitutional crisis that Congress "mandates" that freeloaders get insurance so you and I no longer pay their medical bills.
It is also the party that thinks it's no problem for the Virginia legislature to "mandate" that a woman in that state be forced to submit to, and her doctor be forced to administer a medically unnecessary and disgustingly intrusive vaginal probe prior to an abortion, even if rape or incest caused the pregnancy!
The GOP...the party that will get government off our backs.
AMAZING!!
Surely, some of you GOP stalwarts on this forum will stand up and reject this outrage.

Archie, I agree with WW and MM......go back to the jokes. Posting the truth is unfair...give the right wing nuts a break on woman rights and their health.

Women rights and health. What the hell does that have to do with act of killing a fetus. It's called an abortion and has nothing to do with women's health. Call it what it is.

I can and I did. Whether you like it or not abortion is a legal medical procedure in this nation and most of the nations of the world. Now I'm still waiting for one of our GOP backers to speak out against (or defend??) this proposed outrage in Virginia.

They backed off the trans-vaginal requirement.
Interesting that it is "disgusting" in this setting, but openly accepted for planned pregnancies.....

Thanks for posting the info comrade. I just googled it and the Gov has requested the change. While the House amended the bill, the Republican senator who sponsored the original legislation now says she plans to kill the amended bill when it returns to the Senate for final approval.

Please explain just how your mandate shifts the "freeloaders" medical bills away from the people that are currently carrying the cost? The fact is your mandate adds cost at every level of care, and extends cost through the economy, well beyond traditional healthcare. Do something different than every other democommieprog. Read the law before you pretend to know the subject and embarrass yourself further.

1/ It's "disgusting" when the government tells you have to do it against your will. AMAZING how rightwing evangenuts insist that gov't get out of our fiscal life but get into our physical life. 2/ Hospital emergency rooms are "mandated" by the government and, shall we say "encouraged" by the church and society to treat everyone including "freeloaders" whether or not they can pay. Well who do you think ends up with the bill? The "Obamacare" legislation requires that each individual (freeloaders included) pick up that burden by becoming insured.
When did the GOP give up their age-old and very admirable political goals..."Keep the government off my back" and "encouragement of individual responsibility"?
PS: I have not read the whole law, have you read all those famous "2000 pages" the rightys jumped up and down about for months? I have read several articles and interpretations of the law from partisan and non-partisan angles. It is AMAZING how you can learn the truth from the really non-partisan source and it is AMAZING how you can perpetuate the LIE by reliance only on the extremists on each side....Now Barney....how do you stand on the Virginia proposal I started with?
Yeah I know the proposal has been changed to something slightly less outrageous, but only because it became obvious to the nutcases in the legislature that they were placing themselves in political hot water, not by any change of opinion.
I am still waiting for even ONE of the many rightwingers on this forum to tell me what they really feel about the original proposal in the VA legislature. I would also love to know how their wives and daughters and grandaughters feel.

I read, and noted aside, 2942 pages of the law. You should as well. Anyone that excerpts any aspect of it as good, or worthwhile, WITHOUT studying and understanding the reach of that law, the spending associated with it, along with the taxes and fees mandated, has their cranium up their rectum. My guess is you need a miners headlamp.

Am really busy so maybe you can help me understand why you are so bent out of shape on this one. You are talking about a bill with language put in by one state Senator in one state and that somehow represents the entire GOP?!?!? I don't think you want to be held to that kind of standard....or on second thought you probably admire the most egregious things coming from the left.....but I digress.
So you are outraged that the state would legislate a vaginal examination of a woman pondering an abortion where they stick a device up her vagina and kill her baby? I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me.
I don't know a lot about why and I have no interest in learning more but generally speaking I would not support this kind of bill. I would support one that requires an ultrasound before an abortion. Unfortunately many women naively believe this is just a mass of tissue but when they see the ultrasound many realize it is a baby and change their minds. No one forces them to change their minds, they just provide them with the truth about what they are pondering. If they are determined to go ahead, they can do so since abortion is legal.

This is not how I prefer to spend my lunch break, especially when it is as beautiful a day as it is in Atlanta today...but
Barney if you are somebody who read the entire 3000+/- pages of the healthcare act congratulations!! And you talk about me having my head where the sun don't shine...well I'd say you are the one with real the real anal personality. Now you might enjoy even better reading the tens of thousands of pages which I'm sure will encompass all the rules and regs of the act. Give us a report.
MM I do not suggest that the actions of the Virginia legislature is representative of the entire GOP, but even if it represents the majority of the GOP in the Virginia assembly (which it does!) that is scary enough!! When a woman has an abortion in this country it is voluntary...nobody is forcing her to do it. The law proposed in Virginia "mandated" to not only her but to her doctor, an invasive procedure whether they wanted it or not and whether it was medically needed or not. Do you think that is OK for any level of government to do that? Where is your "get the government out of my business" atitude usually so "beautifully" expressed by you and others on this forum. Talk about hypocrisy!
Still waiting...will ONE rightwinger speak up without obfuscation on this proposal. Are you for it or are you against it...yes or no? STILL WAITING (how about a word of reason from Hound).

Here is what I said in the post above Archie. "I don't know a lot about why and I have no interest in learning more but generally speaking I would not support this kind of bill." Enough said.....unless you of course don't understand common english.
But your point really has me confused. On the one hand you seem maniacally bent out of shape that the government can tell someone to do something but on the other hand as a libtard you are all for the government telling us to do all sorts of things. You are so incoherent it is hard to follow.
But really, what is more invasive to the woman, this procedure or the actual killing of her baby in the womb? What this is really all about is you pro-abortion types don't just want it to be legal and safe.....you really want it to be used as often as possible, especially with blacks and hispanics (Margaret Sanger is smiling from her toasty perch). There is no more objection to this proposal than to similar proposals to require an ultrasound before an abortion. You just want more of those babies to die don't you Archie? That's what this is really all about........
And the people proposing this ham-handed legislation, all they really want is women considering an abortion to make an informed decision about what they are actually doing and to hopefully to save a few babies from being murdered. Talk about a contrast of motivations......... WWJD? Oops....sorry, I am sure you find that offensive.......

MM, consistently, thoroughly communicates rational thought. He has yet to forward musings from Vanity Fair, or rehash the quote of the day from Morning Joe, regurgitate or puke the administrations propaganda forwarded by pmsnbc stars Tingles and Butch, or post utter dylantin induced nonsense. That leaves only one of your "choices". Can you guess which that might be?
