If you are going to have a weekly fishing report posted on the main page every week, please get someone who knows something about the lake and how to fish it!! Every week the reports get worse and worse. There are tons of ways to go out on Lake Martin during the middle of the summer and catch fish till your arms get tired . I mean is this a fishing report or a cook book?? If the point is to help then write about tips, fishing spots, etc. Sorry for the rant but this is just silly!!!

Larry Collins and he has been fishing/guiding this lake probably longer than you and I have been alive.

Do you even know Larry Collins, is seriously daught it. Never judge anyone till you get to know the person. Retired tournament fisherman, outdoor writer, fishing guide and has probably been fishing Lkae Martin for over 40+ years.

Maybe you ought to give Larry a call and discuss some topics with him you would like for him to write about, he might enjoy some feedback from others.

Or better yet why do you not start writing the weekly columns yourself for FREE, as Larry does this out of the goodness of his heart not for money.

I would like some tips for catching them this time of year, too. If you have any, please pass them on, especially if they pertain to the Little Kowaliga Creek area.

A nice man that's who! I look forward to his information each week. His job is definitely not an easy one, so I appreciate every word he prints. If you don't like his letters then don't read them. At least come up with some constructive ideas on how to make it better, I'm sure he is open to any suggestions. Don't just say fishing tips, places to fish, etc...he already knows that these are areas of interest. In addition, take a look at the archive and you'll see a variety of different stories, suggestions, and tips. The only way his articles could get better for me is if... he list GPS lat/longs of honey holes and says to drop pumpkin colored worms over the side and you are guaranteed to catch a 10 lb Wall hanger! But then again, that would take all the fun out of trying to catch that bass of a lifetime. Just my 2 cents...
