I honestly despise those semi-new, self-venting cans made by Blitz. It takes around 5 minutes to pour 6 gallons of gas. Not to mention that lip on the nozzle keeps it from fitting into 9/10 tanks.

My solution: Drilled me a vent hole, fitted me a vent screw. Bought some of those $1.97 flexy spouts from autozone and replaced that ventless/unlfexable black one.

I really disagree that they are "self-venting"

Can anyone else relate to this problem, or is it just me? haha...

Give me my rubbermade cans back Wal-Mart, you communist monopolizers!

I think I had another birthday while filling up the boat. Went back to the old cans......

Couldn't agree more. These jugs are terrible. (I own 4). The folks that designed these probably studied fluid dynamics and have a PHD in Nuclear melecular biology but could't quite figure out how to make gas come out faster. So much for good old American ingenuity. I like your idea of poking a hole in the back for ventilation. Think I'll giver her a go.

Have a great Easter Weekend everyone ! ! !

Do what I do and use a Simple Siphon - Will drain a 5 gallon can in less than 1.5 minutes. plus you will never spill a drop.

Can purchase at Academy Sports fro like $4.95. Use to fill all boats and PWCs'

The VENTLESS cans are a perfect example of a design developed by a committee of lawyers---guarantee you that some lawyer won a case involving a vented can and look what WE get.

Luckily all of my cans are of the six gallon vented variety. Have used a fifty gallon diesel bladder in the past, but I can't get that close to the boat on the lake.

i've looked alot of places for the old-style cans. sure can't find them.

Syphon works good mav, but so do my modified cans :P

Maverick, I just think you have a thing about siphons. That's creepy - get over it and find a new fetish.

Eli - I do not need a siphon as I get hosed about once a week.
