This is an interesting situation that seems to be headed in the same direction as the original cleanup.  Art Faulkner, AL EMA head told us that they planned a two pass cleanup with the second pass about this time of the year.  Somehow, the second pass was dropped and now we have a real mess on our hands.  A lot of the floating debris sank while APCo and the State were deciding who had responsibility for the cleanup--remember the clean up didn't start until June, about two months after the tornado.  Hopefully, more publicity like this article will prompt the politicians into action.

Thats not too far from our house and is really amazing. We were over there the week after and the damage was extensive. No idea how much debris ended up in the lake but it really makes sense. I'll take most other natural disasters over tornado's. Maybe only tsunamis are worse.....
