Subject:   Creekside Lodge?? lake hazards still?
Date:   5/25/2011 2:42:50 PM

We are headed to Creekside Lodge for the weekend (due to last minute planning). Where in the heck is this place?? We know it is on the East end of the lake..is it to the East of the bridge (49)? Is the bridge still able to be passed or is the water full? Also, just read the posts regarding the hazards remaining in the lake. We have little ones who are anxious to tube...sounds unsafe though and mama is worried!!! thoughts?? thanks!!!

Creekside Lodge is on the east side of Hwy 49 bridge and shares the parking lot with new BarBQue place (old Cove Rest).  Not much clearance under bridge.  You might consider docking at Blue Creek Marina, if you can't get under the bridge.  Best place to tube is probably upstream of the Sandy Creek entrance to main channel--be very careful.

on your style boat. Like osms said, if you have a fixed roof pontoon boat or high wakeboard towers, you probably can't get under there. The Lodge is not on the water but the same company owns it that owns Uncle Nick's Smokehouse so for all I know they may have a docking arrangement.

Before I put the Tower on my boat I could BARELY get under the bridge..19ft bowrider. I had to wait for the boat wakes to calm down..No way I can get under it now.
