I said in a previous post that APCO has done a good job getting the levels up, but I noticed this morning that we are down to 489.16 and they are set to release alot of water today. Does anyone know if they have to release water or are they just being pigs? I hope they leave some in so we can enjoy the lake.

Simply potential flood control with recent rains and more to come. To me that is good management. If they didn't release and people got flooded then they would be jerks for not recognizing it. I can't believe you even posted this.

that the lake is only about a foot down. That is about normal anyway. It was absolutely beautiful yesterday. Crystal clear at 9 ft on the pier. Some people just can't be happy.

Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat.

With the forecasted rain level, what APCo is doing appears to be prudent.

Last thing anyone needs is a downstream flood.

Hey pontoon I am not a genious, but I know that if it rains alot that they should be able to maintain 489.4 and not let it drop below that. And after last years sudden stop on rain I am not ready to think that it might not happen again. So I know they need to release water but lets pretend they are smart enough to only let out what we need.

Your last statement is further evidence you are a newbie to the lake.
