I had typed up Frank Sinatra's lyrics to "Goody Goody", but when it came time to post I just couldn't do it. Hopefully we can come together  as a country and do what it takes to "Make America Great Again". It will do no good to hold grudges and be selfish when the future of America is at stake. Let's hope that we on the forum can respect each other and make the forum a place we look to stay updated on things relative to Lake Martin and offer each other information and advice pertinent to the "Off-topic" category. I hope to do my part in recognizing the good in all people and work toward making things better with those I have an opportunity to meet in my daily life.

Points well taken but does this mean you are in favor of just discontinuing the investigations into her and the foundation as well as emails and classified info? I'm sorry but I can't agree with that position. It's not just her but the dozens of people in virtually every agency of the government. If they shut down the investigations and walk away what does that say to others who may have thoughts of committing simular crimes? Do we then just overlook their indiscretions because we did for the Clinton Crime Cabal? How many Lois Lerner are there? IMO they must be investigated and indicted where appropriate. Then let a juror of their peers determine their fate.

Trump should start the process in the morning when he meets with obammy by demanding he pardon the 22yo sailor nd release him from prison for taking a photograph I  the wrong area of a submarine. He should tell obammy that if he doesn't it will his first action  after being g sworn in. Even before his acceptance speech. He could point out what horrible optics that would be for his legacy, that he had to do it because obammy wouldn't. 

If Trump doesn't pursue these criminals it will just reinforce what most think in regards to there being two standards, one for the elite, and other for the rest of us. The corruption MUST be rooted out. Many of the players I  the Clinton Crime Cabal are still sitting in positions in the State Dept art entry and other agencies. They also need to confiscate any electronic devices in any of the Clinton homes.  She has a sciff in each home but Jo lager has any reason  to handle classified info. I certainly hope there security clearances are revoked ASAP at a bare minimum.

My comments were mainly aimed at a little more civility in our discussions on the forum, but I see that Gonefishin thinks that will lead to a boring exchange of ideas. By no means did I intend to let Hillary and her cronies or any of the other crooks in government off the hook. They should be held accountable for any laws they have broken and treated the same as any other person regardless of  their rank or position. It is refreshing to know that the election reflects the disdain of the American people with the way our government has failed to represent our democratic ideals and it is now time to "drain" the swamp. Hopefully one of the most important changes needed to bring government back to the desires of the people will be to enact legislation that will set time limits for all members of Congress. The future looks bright if the will of the people becomes the "guiding light" foe the future.

I was pretty sure that was your meaning but I don't know of the song reference so rather than research that I took the opportunity to go off on a rant... Lol. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks that will just say we need to let it go and move on.  That would be all Democrats and  lot of republicans. I am all for term limits. Today I saw Mitch McConnell do a mini presser and as he stood there in front the microphone with his sweater vest he looked old, frail,  and goofy. He reminded me of a great-grandfather who is starting to show signs of dementia and got away from the adult day care facility. But nope,  he's the powerful Senate leader. But we know that they will never enact term limits on themselves. John McCain looks decrepit but running for another 6 year term.  Disgusting. Another option would be mandatory retirement age for them.  They pass them o  other professionals, why not them. Wonder if djt can do it with executive actions?

If you have time take a minute and Google, "Frank Sinatras' lyrics to Goody Goody". I thought it would bring a little levity  at a crucial time for everyone. Also, if a move to set term limits was initiated and none of the incumbents would vote for it, that would be even more reason indicating that their purpose was to make a career out of government service.
