Is it all non-ethanol at the marinas?

I think so. I gas up most often at Anchor Bay marina and I know it's non ethonal there. If you come by land, Nail's convenience store near mile marker 13 (just south of Kowaliga Bridge) on hwy 63 is all non ethonal. There's also a little old style service station on the east side of the hwy 280 (aka River) Bridge on the north side.

Two more I know of and use are Jimmy's on Hwy. 9 in Equality and Holley Mart on Georgia Road in Eclectic.  Holley Mart was $3.44/gal. until about a three weeks ago but after their supplier went up $.40/gal., they had to go up to $3.60/gal.  Still a good price but they are afraid their supplier is trying to go out of the non-ethanol business.  Hope they can keep it.

I noticed the big price jump. Holley Mart was actually higher than Nails.

That's a nice little profit they are making.  Cost for 93 octane non-ethanol out of Montgomery is $3.76 today including all taxes and frieght.  Of course it all depends on when they received the delivery, not what cost is today.  On July 1, that cost was $3.96

My husband and I own/run Bay Pines Marina (north side of lake)...small mom/pop marina.  I thought, until I bought a place that sells gas, that gas stations must make a heck of a profit....boy was I wrong!  Our marina has mid grade (89 octane) non-ethanol gas.  Our price today is $4.64.

Support the local businesses, especially the marinas.

There are several marinas on Lake Martin that are currently closed.  Since you see such a tremendous profit to be made, why not jump in and open one.

The stations I currently have already keep me plenty busy, but thanks for informing me about the possibilities.  It certainly is a different market with a business having its entire year based on sales of just a few months.  The $1.00-$1.25/gal margin for a marina was a surprise. Typically you're looking at $0.10-$0.20/gal for a convenience store.

Volume or good margins. it takes one or the other to stay in business. I never compare the cost of fuel on the road with the cost on the water. I certainly understand the length of season greatly effects volume as well the gas toters that drive to the gas station with four or five cans to save $10 or so. I try to support Bay Pines as well as other establishments on the lake, because without our support they no longer exist for our benefit. Find ways to save in other areas if you feel so compelled and support the business on the lake. I am so glad they are all here and it enhances the entire lake experience.

Since I can drive 5 minutes to a local station and buy non-ethanol for almost a dollar less a gallon, I never buy at the local marinas. I support Nails in their effort to provide non ethannlol gas and gladly pay their higher price (verses etlanol laced gas).  There may be an opportunity for a marina offering a lower markup and higher volume, but they would need to be creative on other ways to maintain a decent profit margin....you obviously know this.
