Hello all,

My mother's pontoon boat was stolen Saturday or Sunday this past weekend from the Centerport Road area.

If you're leaving Chuck's by water, there's a slough about a quarter mile from the left turn into the Blue Creek run. This is on the left heading North from Chuck's.

2011 Manitou

Hull #: TII56767A111

It has July 2016 decals, #278852.

22' in length.

Suzuki 90 HP Serial# 112156

Black sidings, faux wood vinyl floor, not carpet.

Tan/off-white seats

It didn't float off. Sheriff's office had been contacted and report filed.

Just curious if she had a lock on the hitch.  I trailer mine with a hitch lock and it is parked under a metal canopy but not in a garage.  Hate to see we are now having boats stolen in the area.  Sorry for her troubles.

Do you happen to have a photo of the boat?  Will be on the lookout. Very sorry to hear this.

I'm working on finding a good pic of it.

And it was tied up to the dock, no key in the ignition.

They got it by water.

She had the prop stolen off the same boat a few months back.

She's had to run off folks claiming to be fishing one night, but were tied up to her dock.

You don't fish like that at eleven o'clock. That's when we figure the prop was stolen.

With a picture, description, hull numbers - a posting on facebook might do wonders.  Lots of us would share it and get the word out.

If you can't find picture, Google make, model, and length. Manitou has a site with archive video for 2011. You can call them and ask if they can email you a pic from their 2011 catalog that is similar to your boat. Google used boat ads for model. I assue you also contacted marine police in Alexander City to report theft.

This is as close as I have gotten to finding a stock photo. Except for the center pontoon, this could be the model and color of mine.

Mine had two black bumpers and an orange emergency flotation device all hanging from the starboard side.

A Lady posted on facebook Sat. morning that their pontoon boat was stolen in the same manner in the Nero's Rock slough.  They recovered the boat sometime Sunday.  I have no details about the recovery.

I don't do Facebook.

But if someone here wants to pass my info of the boat around on FB, I'm all for it.

Thanks.

So, found the boat.

It was a a shop on the lake. Broken down.

NOT stolen, but my mother had given permission to someone to borrow it without my knowledge.

She was out of country and I was out of town when this all was agreed upon.

Borrower didn't have my number and my mother was unaware the boat had broken down whilst borrowed.

After I call cops today and said I located the boat, it all got explained to me.

I felt awful, still do.

Guys at shop were very good to me.

I owe them lunch, beer...something.

Suggestions?

Glad you found it. Mistakes do happen.

Stop by about lunch time with a couple of pizzas and I'd bet it would all be forgiven. And laughed about too.

Peace,

<><

Bottom line is you found it.  Take them to Niffer's for lunch.  They can get a good lunch and a beer at the same time.  Just glad to hear it was a misunderstanding and not stolen.

So glad you found it.  Honest mistakes happen - I'm sure the guys at the shop would appreciate your gesture, though.
